And who would that we be,Tepper? Why would they block him anyway? The man has earned his money here and if he's not in consideration for the HC then he has a right to seek employment wherever he wants. And would not blame him if he told Tepper to piss off.

Unfortunately for us Dave is the President of Football Ops. Until that changes expect the clusterf*ck to continue.

This is what Tepper should be doing.

NFC South 2024 Offseason Financials [Spotrac]
Jon Snow replied to Evil Hurney's topic in Carolina Panthers
I get that but Brown is more of a leader than Burns could ever dream to be. He is worth more on the open market I agree. He an Luvu are the only players on defense I would extend. Everyone else is on notice. The offense? Lord help us. -
Does it matter at this point? They are all gone except Dave and Nicole. They go with whoever Fitterer told them to or vice-versa. If you watch the draft videos it sure looked like Fitterer had a lot of say in what went down. Dave and Nicole was just happy to be there. It appears to be a group cluster f*ck when you step back and look at all the parts and pieces at play in this mess.

He is the defense. Extend Brown and build around him. Extend Luvu the moment Brown signs his extension. Do not let either of those two leave the building without an extension. -

No worries my friend. It's worth the discussion. I'm just a loud mouth in the corner talking out of my ass as usual. -

Their saving grace was the rest of the roster they built. If not for that and getting absolutely lucky with Mr. Irrelevant they would be unemployed over the Lance debacle. -

I can't even worry about this stuff right now. It's cart before the house in my mind. But I understand the need to change the subject now and then. Carry on. -
I would put money on that there wasn't concensus on the draft until they announced that Frank gave his decision to Fitterer in their "5 second meeting" a week before the draft. The trade up to 1 changed everything about the draft plans going in. The pressure was on to make sure Frank's initial plan (whoever was at 3 it appears) was better than the concensus 1st overall Bryce Young. I would also bet Frank knew if he went against management and his guy struggled he was toast anyway. But little did he know that he was screwed no matter who he chose because this team is ass and ran by a buffoon.

I've worked with lots of people that it's hard not to like them...until you have to evaluate their actual abilities and performance in their job. Then you want the ass hats gone because they are always screwing up or not pulling their weight.

I do not think they have to play him if he's not earning it. They will give him the 1st shot at it solely on investment alone. In other words last season is not laid on his shoulders as the sole reason it failed. Which would be a fair statement. Whether fans like it or not Bryce Young is the starting qb for the Carolina Panthers in 2024, barring his untimely demise or a trade. Neither of which seem like a realistic possibility. -
I'm afraid that until he decides what he wants AND STICKS WITH IT we are in for a rollercoaster ride of mixed messages from the FO.

Trying to get out in front of Tepper before he starts throwing money at people to get what he wants.

Frank never had a chance. For one thing he was too cooperative in aspects where he should have stood firm. But the power dynamics was what did everyone in. It turns out that an "all-star" still needs a leader with a vision. Not complete collaboration that leaves everyone wondering what that hell is going on and who is actually in charge. -

You are more confident than I on the win loss total. I'm going to wait until training camp before I decide how many wins are possible. Although I was wrong about last seasons possible wins I'll try again this year. Eventually I'll get it right. -

That's the million dollar question. That decision will probably be decided between Tepper and the new coach. I'm sure it will be determined before the 1st game is played. When is enough enough? Only Tepper can decide that as he will be watching along with the rest of us. -

I don't think the message is to not try to win. I think it's acknowledging that it is an uphill battle from the start. It's not saying playoffs or bust. It's says let's see what they are made of and who is part of the plans going forward. If you base it on last seasons results that means only a handful of players. Of course there will need to be a lot more of those types to include. But it's hard to say if there's any being overlooked because everything was complete ass with this team. There's not enough talent here or that can be added in one offseason to expect a winning season. This team is just not good enough to seriously compete. But the team will never admit that in public. It's just a given that will go unstated or unacknowledged by the team. As fans you should know this also. If not you will be severely disappointed. -

I've never seen one team get so much wrong in one offseason. I do not think anyone saw everything going so catastrophically wrong for this team the way it did. I know I didn't. I knew we weren't winning much but I never saw it being as bad as it was. -
Aim higher.

Please Tepper do the right thing and go hard after Jim Harbaugh

It would certainly be in Teppers wheelhouse to try to make a splash to restore some shine on his reputation.
