Nicole Tepper on the proudest moment since owning the team….
Jon Snow replied to ncfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
He doesn't need our help. -
I wonder what @Toomersthinks about this.

Are we low-key tanking? Donnelly thinks we're half-tanking.

The Replacements. I wouldn't mind if they just purged the lot of them save for a handful and pull from other teams practice squads to make a new roster for this season. It's time they do to the roster what they have been doing with the coaching staff. -

There's wasn't one. The correct answer should have been nothing. There's nothing to be proud of in its current state. That was all she should have said. -
The old Dave Gettleman strategy. It's gotta work eventually, right?

That is if they have people competent enough to do it. I'm not confident they do. I'm willing to bet this group will be fired in 2 years and we will see what Nicole comes up with for the next "rebuild ". -

I've been telling you all this for a while now. There's no quick fix for this team. But none of you want to hear this. -

We are doomed. It's going to take a miracle for this organization to drag it's off the bottom of the nfl. The beatings will continue until moral is improved has never been more accurate than it is with the Panthers. Welcome to the bottom of the league folks. You might as well get used to it because it's not changing anytime soon. -
Lol. This team is not winning 6 or more games. They will be lucky to win 3 games.
-
Oh they will sign him for far more than he's worth and be stuck with his under performing ass for another 5 years while they struggle to build a defense around him in an attempt to make him an "elite" edge rusher. Only the Rams were dumb enough to offer a trade and the team turned it down. They are not trading him for anything of value now unless it a single 2nd round pick if their lucky. Turning down the Rams offer sealed their fate. It's either pay him or let him walk.
-
Oh it's been thrown out there.
-
I'm being realistic and not a humor with process blue colored shades on. Brian Burns is not a player we should be investing anymoretime and money on. Its as simple as that.
-
Would keeping Burns require another big D-line addition?
Jon Snow replied to Donald LaFell's topic in Carolina Panthers
We had Riddick and he had more sacks than Burns. We let him walk because reasons. Don't tell me you can't find a FA to put up similar numbers for half the cost. -
Those are excuses. He's been here 5 seasons and has been just average at best. Pro-Bowls are not a good metric to use to evaluate a players value as its a popularity contest more than anything. He's done nothing to deserve a raise here. Let him go be "elite" somewhere else because he sure as hell is not nor will he ever be here.
-
It's a fact. Burns is so overrated here it's comical. I think his fans should pay more attention to him when he's in the game before they carry his water.
-
He's not earning his current paycheck and is not willing to put in the effort to get a raise. Does that sound like someone you build a defense around?
-
I'm not sure what the plan is going forward for anyone at the moment. I'm not even sure there is a plan if I'm being totally honest. I guess we shall see.
-
You cannot keep this secret. You cannot tell me agents and teammates do not talk about this to friends on other teams. Anyone in any FO have already heard what's up through the grapevine. Any team interested already knows what they are willing to pay him and what they are willing to give up to do so. The Panthers have no bargaining power unless they get more than one suitor. You know that no team is giving up that much capital for Brian Burns. No amount of hype can overcome his tape. That's the bottom line.
-
I would not take any FA signing as long term fix. Every position will eventually be upgraded through the draft. Don't underestimate how lacking in talent this team really is. Unless they get extremely lucky in the draft and through cheap FA's it will be years before this team will be competitive again.
-
I ask that every year. I still haven't gotten an answer.

Franchise Tag Deadline: March 5th at 4PM ET.
Jon Snow replied to Leeroy Jenkins Ph.D.'s topic in Carolina Panthers
Star? -
See you guys in 2026 when they hire a new coach and GM to "clean up the mess"....again.
-
We will see. I'm not confident that they really want to trade him.
-
That was inevitable the second Fitterer turned down that trade. This team is not getting anything close to 1 first much less 2 and the other team paying him a massive contract. It's not going to happen. They will either overpay him or cut him. That the only 2 options left.
-
I hope I am too. But everything I'm hearing coming out in the press seems to indicate that the team seriously wants to keep him.
