Whatever it is with Sam cannot be fixed. At least not by this crew. Great kid, bad qb. Rhule will start him for the remainder of the season as he rightfully should. Let it be a reminder to him of what a colossal fugup this was.
-
The OC has a better view than all of us and he still can't see it. You can't hide suck.
-
This ain't Madden man. Everything has costs and availability demands. The cost for Watson alone prevents you from having capital for years to fix anything else. Don't forget his salary and negative media attention you are taking on. Oh, before I forget, olinemen have to be available before you can overpay for them in FA. You will be building that oline with 3rd round draft picks for several years. All other positions will be low round scrubs you hope can contribute. Good luck with that.

I believe he's trusting the OC a little too much. But with the way the Darnold is playing who the hell knows. I do know that they are giving up on the run game way too often. And for someone supposedly coddling or protecting Sam they sure are throwing him to the wolves.

I really don't care who it's for but we better be on some kind of mission.
-
But I want to keep our 3-14 record this season.
-
Um, about that getting off the field on 3rd down thing. It seems to be rearing it's ugly head again.
-
But you can do it on Madden! Seriously though the relentless calls for miracles around this team is Maddening. It's too fuged up to fix this season and most likely next season as well. Buckle up folks, it's gonna be a bumpy ride.

I agree with you 100% on this. I suspected we were in trouble when they had a bit of success last season and Rhule was getting full of himself. Stop trying to jump 10 steps ahead and build this thing right already. If Rhule doesn't figure that out he will be taking his show on the road and we will be rebuilding under someone else.

Rapoport believes Watson will be traded before the deadline
Jon Snow replied to t96's topic in Carolina Panthers
I don't support the league willingly. I'm forced to pay the cable company and my streaming service to watch the Panthers games. I don't watch other teams play very often except maybe a couple of playoff games. I didn't even watch the lady SB. That should give you an idea of my support level of the NFL. I didn't watch Peyton or Rothlesbuger and both should have accounted for their behavior. I had not control over that and I have no control over who supports who. The only thing I can control is my participation in this saga. -
Rapoport believes Watson will be traded before the deadline

No, it has nothing to do with Darnold. It is about selling out in hopes that disturbingly troubled player can save this franchise. I want no part of a team that thinks like that. If you do then I wish you luck. -
I doubt anything will prevent him from bring PJ back. Knowing he can't play is no mystery to anyone because his argument will always be he's a backup and knows the system better than anyone. It doesn't matter if he sucks in said system because be is forever crowned the backup until some serious competition is brought in to challenge that. It's a rigged game and Rhules rules. If, and that's a big IF, they bring in more QBs in the offseason you will see if it signals a challenge to the hierarchy in the qb room.

I rarely ever venture into the game threads until after the game. I tend focus on things most fans ignore or discount throughout the game as much as I do the results of a particular play. If I'm on here trying to read and type I miss too much of the game. Although missing the game may not be a bad thing going forward. -

No we would not. Watson alone cannot fix this. Even if he wasn't a creep and a dumbass. -
He will not fair any better than Sam. If he runs around everywhere then Sam can do that. The issue goes much deeper than one shitty qb. The offense is not set up to help the qb at all, at least what we have seen of it so far. Why the hell do they abandon the run when it working?! I don't have an answer for what we are seeing to be honest.

I got news for you friend every season is a wasted season when you don't win the SB. This team is still trying to have a winning season let alone back to back winning seasons or playoffs. It's not going to happen anytime soon. -

No one hates Cam. It's his relentless worshipping fans that get on everyone else's never. Cam is done man let it go. He's never coming back. -
I agree its time for re-evaluation of a lot of positions. PJ is not even a good backup and everyone knows it but Rhule. It was always Sam's job and if he could not get it done there was no plan B. Rhule couldn't imagine being wrong about fixing Sam and was so sure that he didn't even try to have a backup plan. We see how that worked out. I seriously doubt we can learn anything new about this cast of misfits that we haven't already seen.

At least you have that. For me it's the Panthers or no football at all. I barely can sit through our games now as it is. -
See I look at it this way, PJ might actually win us a game or two but Darnold is guaranteed to cost us every game in his own right the rest of the way. Having him at the helm gives us a better chance at a higher pick. I say stick with the turnover machine.

We have been through much worse than this. There is no quick fix to this either. This season is what it is, a wasted one. Next offseason is when they will attempt to get right.
