Another opinion on our draft from Dator
Jon Snow replied to ladypanther's topic in Carolina Panthers
Well technically they did take a QB and LT. It's just not who and where folks expected them to. -
Matt Rhule on Sam Darnold and the QB Situation
Jon Snow replied to methodtoll's topic in Carolina Panthers
Patience man, you will see how this program is set up soon. The pieces will fall into place after the foundation is complete. Had we been able to start the overhaul like this last off-season oh wee mayne. If they can do anything close to this next off-season look out brother. -
Matt Rhule on Sam Darnold and the QB Situation
Jon Snow replied to methodtoll's topic in Carolina Panthers
What is he supposed to say? They all suck and we are screwed? Don't put a lot of stock in coach speak. He knows the situation. It will get sorted out in time. Trust the process man. -
Luke Kuechly has resigned from the Panthers scouting staff
Jon Snow replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
That loss will sting for a while. -
Also bring up that the snacks are stale and the beer is warm and flat.

It would be a 1 year rental. Just to take the pressure off starting the rookie.

Well, for a while I couldn't explain what we were doing either. It didn't start to make sense until about halfway through. Now I kinda understand what they want to do. It's bold and carries a lot of risk if they do not chose wisely. But I like it personally. Building a roster from the bottom up is hard to do because owners are not patient enough. Also the deeper the team gets it in theory gets better which puts them further down down in the draft in picking to restock with youth. But the beautiful part is they will already be accustomed to drafting low by then. The hard part is finding the QB to top it of. I pray Darnold can be salvaged.

Thank you!

There's no explaining why some of these teams do what they do. You just have to be ready to take advantage of their incompetence.

I saw a longer version of it somewhere, I think. Wish I could find it. I love the tune they chose

What's the name of that song and singer please?

Relative Athletic Score for all drafted players
Jon Snow replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
I heard someone on the NFL network, can't remember who, say if he can learn to catch consistently he will be a superstar. -
The Big Picture, The Panthers Draft, and You - A Synopsis
Jon Snow replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Right now I say it's a .500 team with potential. Ask me again at the quarter mark. -
A moment of appreciation for Scott Fitterer… we have a GM
Jon Snow replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
I second this. It's refreshing to see that the focus is on building a foundation of promising young talent to build on going forward. If they can keep that up in another season or two this team is going to be a tough out in the playoffs, every year. That is the team I'm looking for. So if Rhule can salvage the Ghost Rider we may not be as far away from competing as I thought. What's that? A glimmer of hope? I do believe my giddy may be starting to get up. -
All aboard the Tommy Tremble bandwagon
Jon Snow replied to Panther Believer's topic in Carolina Panthers
At least the competition in camp is much better than I can remember. -
One of the DB's will rise to the occasion I suppose. Hell I gave up trying to figure out this "process" stuff. Just when I thought I had it figured out they flip the script. I'm just loving this different approach to building a squad. The team they started with with is going to look a lot different very soon. Time will tell.

It's silly to put a grade on this draft before you see how many of them make the final roster. Honestly it will take a full season to have a true sense of what you have in these kids. I would be interested in comparing the final roster that Rhule inherited from Ron and Hurney verses the one he's been able to assemble with Hurndog. If you're good enough of a data analyst throw in the final roster going into this season assemble by he and Fittererrrrr...rrr. I know there's some of you on here that love to crunch numbers so have at. For bonus points show the cap charge of each player. I bet it would look completely different. That is your mission should you choose it or some sh*t.

Round 3(a) - Carolina Panthers Select BYU OT Brady Christensen
Jon Snow replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
That's in metric. You have to convert it to english. -
Round 6 (A) Deonte Brown - G - Alabama
Jon Snow replied to Jackofalltrades's topic in Carolina Panthers
He drops 5 pound every trip to the bathroom. -
He's been the best in the nfl for... forever. He became an icon with the franchise and I have admired his career here. He so under appreciated by the fan base. Will be a sad day when he retires for me. But if this kid is as good as advertised then the sting will soon go away.

Guess they didn't want to chance it. Better go check to see who was the best kicker in all of college because that could be our next selection.

Heir. If it is it will hit me in the feels.
