  1. It was the funniest thing. That bear established itself that day.
  2. I think he's committed, just like Rhule. He strikes me as the type that considers every variable effecting the situation and chooses which of many that will result in the outcome we are seeing. Were they known and predictable to Tepper? Did he have them as acceptable in the grand scheme of things? I guess we will know soon enough.
  3. I was considering this awhile back but didn't want to ruffle the Jimmy's around here. You know how they get attached to players. I doubt they can afford to tie up more cap on skill players with the current configuration of the offense It's time to put more investment in the oline one way or the other. And there's the QB conundrum thing to sort out with even more investment beyond what is already tied up.
  4. Imagine the look on the person's face when they handed them his name and told them to stitch a name patch for his jersey. I guarantee they said "you sure you spelled it right".
  5. I honestly don't think it's about Cam. It's about proving he made the right choice picking up Sam. As silly as that may be to the rest of us it's all he really has to save his job. Sam has to play the best game or games of his life to save them both really. Cam will be thrown out there a few time in hopes of calming the fans. He's getting desperate.
  6. Cam will be in the Hall. The lack of a SB victory on his resume doesn't help but the records he's broken alone will get him in. The only thing that is in question is when.
  7. I think it will be his only option if he wants to stay. It just depends on Teppers ability to sit through the inevitable painful to watch season. Tepper could also let Rhule dance with the one that brought him so to speak and give him one last shot with his people and can them all when the dust settles. Or he could just flush these turds and start over with someone more competent than Marty Hurny advising him. That would be my choice.
  8. It was. It will always be because the odds of success greatly demise as the level of competition increases.
  9. I knew it, but it doesn't insure either will be here next season. The odds are not in their favor, well a tad bit better for Sam than Matt. And that's only because his contract is a bit harder to swallow. They could decide to just cut him and eat the cap hit. Who know?
  10. The defense is not talented enough nor deep enough to compensate for a bad offense that continually puts them in bad situations.
  11. Are we supposed to believe him now or call it just another lie? Asking for a friend. I surely wouldn't classify it that way. Trending toward serviceable at best, until it got figured out.
  12. So now they are faking injury reports? Ugh, you might want to check with the player first dumbass. What the hell is going on in BOA?
  13. What happened to the longsnapper they drafted? How many games are left?
  14. There is no way this team wins another game. Both teams we face have an incentive to play to win. This team cannot beat the Hill lead Saints and the Bucs are trying for the number 1 seed. Unless they have that locked down by our second meeting we have not shot. So there that.
  15. They did for a while. But we have not been much more successful than them overall honestly. We have mostly avoided the expansion team blues since inception in that we have hovered around average so far. But this team has a lot of building to do before we see a regularly competitive team. As a long time football watcher like yourself we have seen a lot a crap thrown at the wall with these teams trying to build a successful franchise. The vast majority of the team's outside the playoff regulars cannot maintain any success beyond one playoff appearance evey few years. Sound familiar? I think the biggest issue our team has faced, and probably most bottom half teams do, is the lack of depth to weather the war of attrition with injuries. Not having adequate depth is a season killer for a lot of teams as injuries pill up. We have just sucked at building depth at crucial positions. In the past when we stayed relatively injury free we tend to have a good season. When not..well you see season's like this one. Although this season was aided by not having adequate starters at crucial positions so the injuries there did not matter because they sucked anyway.
  16. Of course there will be a reason to watch. You watch to see how bad it gets before it's all blown up and the rebuild actually starts. Not some rebuild/win now bullsh#t.
  17. Well if Rhules goal was to create adversity it appears he has achieved that goal successfully. Now that he's checked that box what's next? Rebuild again? Because he sure as hell doesn't have anything else established besides adversity.
  18. That is true but you are leaving out the fact that that team had the advantage of picking/drafting/signing players that other teams save Jacksonville could not. Jacksonville who had the same advantage was also in the playoffs in their second season. It's not the same comparison.
  19. Scott works for Rhule. Rhule has full control. The only thing we know about Scott is that he will throw draft positions around like darts. Those things have been established.
  20. It wouldn't surprise me if he did. I'm trying to figure out which of the two is in over their head more. It looks to be a draw at the moment.
