Panthers Greatest 1-year Wonders List
Jon Snow replied to Dingo_ate_Babies's topic in Carolina Panthers
I forgot where he went to college and didn't want to look foolish. I guess I did anyway. -

I didn't see that coming. It better be for a but load of 1st round picks. -
Luton will be on the practice squad before Plummer. But remember this, any qb you put on the practice squad will get poached as soon as someone needs one. Would you want to put a lot of time in developing a qb for someone else? If anything they will bring someone like Luton in to backup Andy if something were to happen to Bryce. I forsee 2 scenarios that could play out as a result of how Bryce does this season. He could continue on his current trajectory where the team will be forced to change course and look for a replacement in the next draft, assuming there is one to be had. Which would add even more uncertainty and more scenarios we will not discuss in this exercise. He could play well enough to buy him another season and the Panthers time to improve the competition behind him. Either through free agency or the draft. That's my view from the nose bleed section.

I love your optimism but I would not put any money on that.

You guys are doing just fine without my help. I'm interested to see where this goes so please carry on.

It's like they try to see who can make the most outrageous post.

Have the Carolina Panthers settled on their wide receivers?
Jon Snow replied to jayboogieman's topic in Carolina Panthers
As soon as Legette get it together I think TMJ will become expendable. I think the only thing saving him now is the fact that Mingo hasn't quite established himself and X is just not ready or is not fully healed. I think if one of these udfa's had stood out he would possibly be cut. Right now the only thing saving him is that he's the best of the rest right now. Which says a lot about the depth at the position. -
I'm getting a good chuckle out the hysteria and some of the hot takes are pure gold.

No. Right now it's Johnson and Thielen as locks. Then there's everyone else. I expect Mingo to get another year, maybe. And Legette will make it as the rookie draft pick. TMJ is on thin ice as hes competing with everyone else and even guys that may get picked up from the waiver wire. The group may not be finalized until week 3 of the season. I just get the feeling that if they can upgrade wr 4 and 5 they will. -
What is the benefit to benching starters for the preseason?

To piss off fans apparently. -
Not all my gifs represent the team. It's to represent adversity and struggles in this instance. Bring it on.

All I know is that Dave, Dave and Dan will make that call. I've determined that I will watch and cheer when there's something to cheer for and laugh at the bad. I'm expecting I will be laughing a lot.

I'm thinking that edge rusher is going to be a top priority in the next draft. Assuming a starting qb is not needed of course. It will be 1b for sure.
-
I don't think he has to worry about that much longer.
-
He's definitely shown more in his short time here. He may get a chance a the ps if they don't look somewhere else. I also think Luton can be picked later if needed during the season. He's kinda like an rental backup if you get in a desperate situation. He's always available it seems
-
He's currently hurt. I'm sure that was the plan all along. But Dalton gets himself hurt and well, you see what we're dealing with. Plummer was meant to be a camp arm for the 3rd and 4th string group. If he had done enough there he probably had a shot at the practice squad. But now there's no chance of that.

His ass. -
They were playing better than last week for sure. I'm kinda liking this battle for backups and practice squad going on right now.
