If the Panthers were to take one of these qb's the round they are taken in will not matter. They would have to beat out both Sam and PJ to actually start. That's not going to happen with any of these qbs in this draft. So you are drafting a developmental qb for a season or two from now. You will be replacing either Sam or PJ on the roster. Why you say? Because they need a vet that can win. Sam is a backup and PJ belongs in the USFL.

Growing up I knew some older guys that would noodle in the rivers around home. The largest I have actually saw we 38 pounds. Was told the guy also pulled one just over 50 from the same "big rock". Needless to say the river those came from were not that wide or deep, but I just cannot see sticking your arm in a deep hole under a rock and letting whatever is in there latch onto it. Nope, not even on naked and afraid would I do that. These folks go under water for those things! Crazy I tell ya.

Teddy's sin was he criticized a coach and they way he ran the team. If you think race is a qualifier that a coach or owner would have for his qb you are delusional. It only matters if they can play the game and win. Race only matters to the fans that think it does.

If you are selling you've got to sell it. You can't say "look, Sam is ass and we are desperately trying to unload his sorry ass. We are trying to get a qb, any qb dammit." The diehard fans know it to be true but what does it profit him or the team by telegraphing that to his competitors?

He is talented I agree. But the nfl will eat him alive. He will look like Johnny Football out there.

PJ has the best gig in football. As long as Rhule is coaching PJ will never lose his job. He's indispensable. That's job security children.

Just about all of them are later round picks. But necessity will get them taken earlier than the should. If any of them are forced to start right away...good luck.

It's OK man. Don't let what they say trouble you. You know its all coach speak. They are not going to say anything bad about a player and they certainly shouldn't say anything that would lead the competition to know what way they are learning in the draft. The whole world knows how bad the qb situation is for the Panthers, including David Tepper.

He only caught 1. Like all fishermen he exaggerates how much he caught and how big they were.

Irving needs to be demoted to unemployment.

He is the scheduled starting LT until he isn't. My guess he will end up the starting LG and a free agent LT will be signed. Even if a perceived LT is drafted I doubt he starts the season that way so a vet is needed. Whether it plays out that way is anyone's guess.

Don't underestimate what teams "leak" in hopes of getting said player to slide in the draft. Like slide down to where they can "take a chance" on him.
