"Best bets" article puts Panthers under 5.5 wins
Jon Snow replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Take the over. This team will stumble into 6 wins. -
I would venture to guess that pretty much everyone thinks this as well, including his mother. But until someone is signed to unseat him he is the starter. I'm desperately hoping Corral can do that by game one.

Kurt Warner on The Herd, talking about our new QB.
Jon Snow replied to Ivan The Awesome's topic in Carolina Panthers
Start the qb that can beat our defense in practice. If they can't perform against our first team defense then it doesn't matter which one you throw out there. Opposing defenses will eat them alive. -

Don't hate the guy at all. But Jake was better and still is. -

He's still butthurt because a no name Cajun that played for the Panthers was a better qb than him and he knows it. -
If this doesn’t get you excited about Matt Corral, nothing will

Wouldn't that be something? What would be the odds of that happening? -

Darnold will start the 1st game and will look like ass until half time. Corral will come in for the 2nd half and lead us all the way to the SB. Wouldn't that be amazing? -
My goal is to travel for a while before spending the fall and winter here at home. Spring and summer is open depending on my mood. This is my first attempt at retiring and like you I'm already getting consultants feeling me up.

I have contemplated selling out when I retire. But I could never find the views I have from my back porch at sunrise or my front porch at sunset. People pay good money for that alone.

I'm sitting comfortably in a dead end Cove on the mountain in a quiet community with no restrictions. I have neighbors who lookout for each other but mind their own business. It's the only way to live.

You will have to take a seat like me and just watch the prognostication. About all I can do is try to predict how it's all going to play out. It's let going to the track and betting on the horse. I would lose either way.

Wherever they put him on the oline I hope it's Campen who makes that call.

Brady didn't have any experience that qualified in for consideration. He got hired just like Rhule did, on hype only. He road in on breif connections to Sean Payton and Joe Burrow through the media mouth breathers. He had zero offensive coordinator experience at any level. It was a terrible decision to put him in charge of an nfl offense and Rhule found out the hard way. I'm sure Tepper made that perfectly clear in one of his hard question sessions. Probably the day before Rhule corrected that mistake.

Moved out of a developmental 20 years ago and will never go back to that ever again.

That's a lot of "if's" to overcome. I personally cannot see them being any worse than last season. It's almost impossible with an experienced nfl staff now in key places. Putting Joe Brady in charge of an nfl offense was beyond idiotic. I'm still having trouble comprehending that decision.

Is the "Legion of Boom" approach obsolete?
Jon Snow replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
It goes in cycles, always has. Remember the "Greatest Show on Turf" the Rams made famous? It was until John Fox built a defense that put Mike Martz into retirement. Fox also put together a similar offense with another no name qb that came a shanked kick and Tommy John from being a HOF qb himself. It comes in cycles. Given the new rules favoring offenses it's imperative the defense evolve for a better competitive advantage. -
You folks are just going to have to accept the fact that Rhule got a mulligan for season 1. The clock started ticking last season. Season one went according to the process. Season 2 is upon us and this is where the team is supposed follow that same trajectory...according to the process. So we should expect a 10 win season? Discuss.

Wish him luck either way.
