  1. I agree that he a Morgan seem to make a good team. Their approach to building a roster is sound if their judgment can be trusted. It's just hard to separate the fact that this is Rhule's team built in his image. He wanted a GM that could identify the kind of players he needed to win, to build the culture. So it's difficult to say whether he is catering/deferring to Rhule's idea of a winner or if it's his. Seems they are ultimately joined at the hip so as one goes so does the other.
  2. Probably close to an even split would be my early prediction.
  3. I doubt he gets to stick around long enough to find out.
  4. They picked up his option as soon as they completed the trade, whenever that was.
  5. That's a lot of assumptions or should I say hopeful thinking. I've seen nothing in his history to suggest he would try to be a good teammate. I just do not want that asshole near this team and especially around our new draft pick. Darnold may be ass as a qb but he's one hell of a teammate. The amount of hatred and boos he's had to endure yet he still puts on a smile and tries to do his best. Unlike the little sh!t Mayfield who throws a tantrum if things don't go his way. Hard pass on Mayfield.
  6. That would be my second favorite option. My favorite option is to steer clear of that drama queen.
  7. I'm getting tired of the organization talking out of both sides of their mouth. They preach patience but every action speaks the opposite.
  8. This board goes as the team goes. It's nothing new.
  9. If I had a say in the thing I would force Rhule to live with Sam and let the chips fall where they may. They've dug this latrine deep enough. It's time to take his lumps with this culture building promise. No more bailouts.
  10. Which puts us right back where we started only with a better backup. Kids better put their big boy pants on cause it's going to be painful to watch.
  11. That is a deal breaker for me. No draft picks for that turd. We've already made that mistake, let's not repeat that mistake again.
  12. Even if we are drafting at 32 I'm still looking at the qb's. Granted that would mean we could wait a season or two if that miracle happened. If we are sitting right smack in the top half again I'm going qb in the first. Developmental qb's are always part of the plan. But in the meantime we do not have a legit starter. I vote to continue to add through the draft for a while.
  13. Promise is good but that's no guarantee. I'm taking qb's until one is clearly the guy. We need a good backup too so we should keep drafting them. Too many want to put all their hopes on Corral but to me that is putting your eggs in one basket. We need more qb's to comb through. I just don't get the "find out now so we can decide" crowd. The decision should have already been made to add another one in the next draft. Hell they almost took two in the last draft. It's obvious they know they need more chances at them so yes, draft another next draft regardless of how Corral does. We need someone to backup Corral if he shows out or replace him if he doesn't. That qb should come from the draft, the next draft not 2 years from now.
  14. Yes it needs to be a qb. You don't wait another season trying to find out if a 3rd round qb pans out. You go qb next draft and every draft thereafter until one emerges as the franchise. You do not wait a season in-between, that only drags out to process.
  15. The only acceptable trade for Mayfield would be a straight up swap for Darnold. Would not give up any picks whatsoever.
  16. It appears to me they are trying really hard to avoid starting Darnold this season. Looking at the depth chart it would seem the chances are good another one will be signed.
