Wilks Set This Team Back
Jon Snow replied to Move the Panthers to Raleigh's topic in Carolina Panthers
Who said we are completely fine with it? It's always either or with you folks. Not a single fan is fine with only winning 5 games a season. Your narrow view of what everyone thinks is your own. Some of us actually want to see them win and the draft can be damned. There are multiple paths to success. Your way is not the only way or the best way. It's obvious from the same teams always drafting at the top. How do the franchises that always draft at the end of each round maintain their dominance when they rarely draft higher than 20? Isn't it mandatory to do that to build a stronger team? It takes much more than that and draft position isn't one of them, especially if your FO and coaching staff suck. -
Rapoport and Pelissero talk head coach openings
Jon Snow replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
I am leary. You could give the qb coach as much or more credit if you're being honest. I'm just not the type to fall for the latest hot media slurping coaching candidates. Fans fall for that stuff all the time. Let's see how it shakes out. Call me a skeptic. -

And that's the only reason. Like I pointed out, an OC is only as good as his qb. If you don't have one you are looking for one. -

If Jalen Hurst hadn't been playing out of his mind would you guys still be wanting his OC? Of course not. -

What OC doesn't need a qb to play out of his mind to have a top offense? That doesn't make any sense. -

I tend to agree with him. -

Can Sam Darnold play himself into becoming the 2023 starter?
Jon Snow replied to Verge's topic in Carolina Panthers
He's played well enough since coming back from injury to get signed by someone to compete for a starting role. Being a starter will depend on what he does after that. -
Nah. I like Wilks better when he's not controlling the defensive assignments. If he's not getting the HC job just flush everyone. I wouldn't even insult him by asking him to stay on in a lesser role anyway.

No, he linked Will Krunkel as the source.

Report: Jim Harbaugh wants to return to NFL (Athletic)
Jon Snow replied to amcoolio's topic in Carolina Panthers
No. He's an offense oriented guy that no team would turn down. The Harbaugh brothers are defensive guys. Both systems are predicated on a great QB. Reid has an eye for one. He's also a threat to have his team in the SB every year, the AFC title at minimum. Harbaugh? Since, his one and only SB title he has been struggling to get back ever since. They are no threat even with Lamar. His brother at Michigan cannot do any better. Either could improve this team to challenge for the nfcs and occasionally the nfc title. They most definitely could break the back to back winning seasons curse. But I seriously doubt either could make us a serious SB threat once we make the playoffs. But that's just me I guess. -

Jon Snow replied to amcoolio's topic in Carolina Panthers
No, the Ravens do not want to swap seats with us. That's foolish. You have seen what he can do but he will not get us beyond that. The Ravens are always a playoff threat but no SB threat. But they would never get back into the coaching search as long as Harbaugh is there even though he is not the best but he far from the worst. His brother is much the same. They are a run, run, run, punt conservative defensive philosophy coaches. The only reason any of you here are interested is because of his name. Miss me with that. -

His brother has 1 ring and has been trying to get back there ever since. He also has Lamar who everyone here wants to sign for whatever he want. Yet they cannot get back to the SB. -

He's just like his brother. Too conservative and cannot win in the playoffs. But somehow this place is all on board for that. The irony in wanting that from this board is truly comical. -

No it doesn't. -
Report: Jim Harbaugh wants to return to NFL (Athletic)
Jon Snow replied to amcoolio's topic in Carolina Panthers
I guess I'm in the minority here because I would not hire him as our head coach even if he would take the job. He got out coached by a first year head coach. -
To be fair he did have the best talent evaluator in football giving him advice. So there's that. I remember distinctly seeing this board rail on anyone who mentioned McCarthy as a ppssibly head coaching candidate. If anyone even suggested we should consider interviewing him it was drowned out with how they should get Rhule because he was the hot name. This board = Dumbasses.

Harbaugh wouldn't leave Michigan to coach the Panthers no matter how much Tepper offered him. People overestimate the attractiveness of this franchise to a coach like Harbaugh. Hell you would be lucky to get one of these hot new up and comers to take the job. It may not be a matter of choosing whoever you want. It quite possibly could end up being whoever will take it. -
No USC qb's thank you.
