One does not preclude the other.

Not necessarily. Say for instance they do something crazy like go defense again at 9. What's to prevent them from moving back into the bottom of the 1st for a qb? Hell they could even trade back into the 15 to 20 range if they just have to have a qb. There's more than one way to skin this cat.
-
Well there's a small chance they manage to do both. There are some good qb prospects in this draft but they are just not hyped up like the 3 you only here about. So I would not assume they cannot do both.
-
Now let's not go that far. He's BEEN better than anyone here since Cam, yes. But if he's signed here let's see what he does HERE before we crown his ass mmkay.

Honestly, I didn't have one at first. As it went on I thought Reich was probably the best of the bunch from an experience perspective. But I didn't sit in on the interviews with the other's so I was open there for awhile. I'm comfortable with how it played out so far.
-
I had forgotten about Reich's interest in him when he was with the Colts. I doubt that's changed much since then. It is certainly something to watch.

Not if Payton is involved in it. I would not trust that sombitch at all.
-
I think the Panthers go after him eventually.

I just made the contract length bit up. The second part is true.

We had the same opportunity not long ago.

Isray had to give him that many years just to get him to agree to take the job. I tried to watch his introductory press conference but I just couldn't look at Isray's face. The man looks pickled.

Yeah at first I thought it was never a serious consideration even as I half heartedly typed it up as plan B. But you know plans change as the landscape changes. Things can quickly become plan A at the blink of an eye. Things are afoot in Panthers land.
-
I agree. But maybe they do both at least. My left testicle says this is probably going to happen.
-
This is going to happen isn't it? It makes too much sense not to.

How will this coaching team effect free-agency?

Now that I agree with brother. -
Publicly at least.

That would be the ideal situation. But I don't want to trend into the Phil Snow philosophy of trying to have a defense that is versatile in different sets but not good at any. -
You should watch the video about his life someone posted. It uses movie clips throughout but it is still tells you who he is.
-
This^^^. I want to see where an experienced nfl staff can take this team.

This season? Hard to say really. If they go predominantly 3-4 defense they're going to need to add some beef on the dline and upgrade the LB core. You will not fill all of those in the draft. I'm not sure who's out there in FA that we need to woo yet. -
Unacceptable. You must present this in flowchart form after the full staff is in place. Try again.
-
Well I guess I can't have everything go my way. I too would have signed Carr at one time when he was available before.
-
Yeah its really going to depend on where you sit as they start to come off the board. But if you need a good defensive player this is the round for it. You would almost be guaranteed to get a good player no matter where you pick.
