Its the lesser of 2 evils. They are forced in keeping him another season because they will have to redo the qb room since they decided to keep the status quo there and its blown up in their faces. Even if they do exercise the 5th they still can trade or cut him if they must. They've eaten contacts before and they will again. Its the natue of the business. Swallowing 26 million is easier than trying to ride out 5 years @ 60 million per year.

Evero is a lot like fox. He keeps hi best CB on the strong side of the offensive alignment. The defense is setup for Jackson to play the weak side and Scott to play deep. Defensive coordinators can be a rigid bunch.

I think they are hoping. Mainly because they have put themselves in a position to where they are kinda stuck. They've waited a year or 2 too late to hedge their bet. Now they are left with hoping the massive investment the made eventually nets them a decent qb. I am still amazed that these professionals haven't seen the need for a plan B in the qb room.

I think Tremble is the one that needs to be worried. Sanders could be on thin ice as well. I think Evans has them reevaluating to TE position. They need another Evans but bigger.

They use it to evaluate salaries and game strategies. I don't think they use it to determine who starts.

He gets too caught up in his script and doesn't notice what's really going on in the game.

I tend to think coaches don't even look at QBR or any other stat. The base the decisions on performance they can see on the field and not what the stats say. I tend to agree but I don't play fantasy football where stats matter.

Tepper needs to stay out of the decision making process until the wheels fall off. As long as there is noticeable improvement then he has no need for intervention. Even then he needs to talk to Morgan to find out what's going on. No Monday morning meetings with the coach.

I'm not sure that the reason he's not playing is due to the round he was draft in.

That QBR doesn't seem to help Rattler keep the starting job.

Canales damn sure has to stick with the run game. He needs to have a near even split between pass and run. When he does that they win. When he gets pass happy things tend to go sideways.

He handled our defense pretty well.

No its not sustainable. Without investing draft picks in this oline they are asking for cap trouble down the road. But its not my money so IDGAF.

If I had to choose between the 2 I would take Mayes.

I would say it has been worse. Maybe they've bottomed out and they have learned some things.
