Jon Snow replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
It's a long season and we are already getting thin there. We may be down to guys off the street by the end at this rate. -

I would expect the Panthers to pick up a wr or 2 before the season starts. -

So most of front 7 starters are not playing. This could get ugly early. -

This season will not be for the faint of heart. If you can't take some adversity in the 1st season of this crew then you might not want to watch. But it will be fun to watch.

Have you not read any of the threads on here?! Where the hell have you been?

Every fan needs to watch this to gain some perspective into what is going on before they lose their mind next time.

Frank has said the he is getting a ton of reps in camp and in practice. Now what that means towards his preparation I suppose will be seen when the games start to matter. I get the impression that the preseason is meaning as much to the coaches as it is the players. I have to remind myself that most of these coaches have never worked together before.

I think Juan is secretly Mick Mixon's alt.

It would be nice. You would need a great number of "if's" to go you go our way but anything can happen. I could settle for being the spoilers for some playoff hopefuls this season at least. It would be nice to smack a media playoff darling in the mouth while the guys figure it out. Would love it to be Dallas.

Don't put that on me! That's Zod and another one of his hot takes.

Right. Last years team and the previous teams built by whose name I will not mention were 6 win teams maximum. Everything about those teams save a handful of players and 2 staff members were purged from BOA. Essentially, that era and team was wadded up and tossed in the trash.

I do not know who Ivkey is but Icky is going to be just fine. All of the olinemen are getting adjusted to the scheme and their assignments. David Newton is a troll.

Pretty much every team that misses the playoffs. There's very few teams that have enough real nfl starters, let alone backups, to make the playoffs regularly. Most teams that go all in to make the SB can't buy enough talent to do it more than one time. After that they are right back to where they started before going all in.
-
This team is in a rebuild, but they are still trying to win. Its that some of us know the it's going to be difficult to win after purging the offense of 7 starters and 5 on the defense while trying to build chemistry and learn a new system in the 1st couple of months in the offseason. It's common sense that they will not have an easy road the 1st season. But yet here we are demanding playoffs or heads on a platter if the don't.

No not at all. He's a bust and a waste of time.

So you want a guy that hasn't put it together in 4 seasons to replace a guy that has been here for 2 and looks better than the guy with 4 seasons of experience? I'm convinced most of you go on name recognition alone and never bother to actually see if that player fits or even wants to play here. Fantasy football is ruining the sport of football.

It's probably premature to be trading away any qb that we have invested time and assets in just yet. We have not played a meaningful game with a competent qb in half a decade or more. I would think it would behoove the team to make sure you have that guy for at least a season before you start tossing them aside.
-
It's possible. I doubt they could given that he's not played very much.
-
I think that was actually Al Wallace. But @Mr. Scotmight know as his memory is much better than mine.

I must have came across wrong. I had no ill intent in my response. It was for the folks freaking out. I was not implying you were. My bad. I wish I were there with you!
