  1. He most definitely would bring credibility.
  2. And Tony Romo. While you're at it add Chis Collingsworth as well. Those two make watching football almost unbearable. Thank goodness for the mute button.
  3. The way I see it there's only 2 ways that last offseason could have caused the season to unfolded the way it did. Tepper dictated/mandated that they trade up for a specific qb and he forced the choice. The coaches were not on board. From there it was every man for himself when the wheels fell off. Tepper fired anyone that wasn't making his investment work out. Tepper goes Tepper and here we are. Or, his all star staff convinced him to trade up and they chose the wrong qb. When it was obvious they chose wrong the all star staff went every man for himself and started to blame each other for it going south. Tepper goes Tepper and here we are.
  4. Don't care. But @CRAis right, if you are putting conditions on his return then he should not be part of the future going forward.
  5. This might be the first SB that I do not watch
  6. My son said he heard the Sonic coins come out of him. It took me a minute to get that.
  7. It's obvious the team is not ready to give up on Young. You can debate the merits of that all you want but be assured that it's his job to lose. Now you can probably debate on how confident they are in Young turning it around by how they actually do approach the position in the offseason, as you say. If there is real competition acquired then I will have to reevaluate the offseason behind the scenes decisions.
  8. The move indicates he's trying a different approach. Whether it's an indication that he's learning some lessons from past errors in trust or judgment I really could not say. In this case they are independent of each other and mostly depends on a lot of luck.
  9. Oh I agree that Young owns his share of the disfunction. That I do not dispute. I will also admit that he didn't not have what he needed as a rookie to prove his potential going forward as well. He was a long shot pick to begin with and we should have not traded up in the first place. But I digress. I'm just saying that in order to confirm boom or bust you have to have a better situation around him. We are not there yet.
  10. Well to be fair that offensive play designs they came up with was some of the worst I have ever seen. Every play was designed for one receiver. Even if said receiver was not on the field. I poo you not. It was so predictable that I had my son figuring it out and he just got interested in football this season. The receivers cannot do much about that because the defense knew where the ball was going to go before the snap. They could beat the receiver to the spot before they got there. There's no overcoming that as a rookie. Even Dalton had them install different plays for him and after 60+ attempts couldn't do much better. The system was just complete ass. There's no other way to put it.
  11. It is no different than throwing another pick at a qb at 33 this year that will not start. Your boys would be no better than Young next season. Suck it up, you are no better than the rest of us. You're going to have to watch this last attempt at getting something out of this massive investment. There will be no savior this season unless its Bryce Young. Just pray that he only gets 2024 to prove it.
  12. There is a plan B. The 2025 draft class and FA qb's are being scouted as I type this.
  13. We need other positions filled as well. It's would help being in the top 10 of every round. We suck that much. I'm not ready to panic about the qb position yet. This years class has just as much chance to fail. Draft picks are a crap shoot and judging a class a year or two out is premature to say the least. We can get to mediocrity with just about any vet qb scrub if that would satisfy the need for a few wins. We should shoot for someone that has a longer shelf life and that's through the draft. This year we are forced to put our focus elsewhere, as it should this season only, to get to mediocrity at least. We know mediocrity well as Panthers fans. That we can do with things being as they are, maybe. It should be the unspoken goal when the season starts. That's how bad it gotten.
  14. You don't throw the baby out with the bath water. I know there's a large contingent that hates Young and never wants to see him again. Unfortunately, that's not how this is going to work. The team as a whole stunk and not one single person was going to change that. His last shot will be under better circumstances, hopefully, where EVERYONE should be evaluated for the future here. There will be another qb signed this offseason but they will not be competition for Young. That will come in 2025 if the suck continues. If he doesn't improve as the season goes on he will be benched for Dalton until the season is over most likely.
  15. They're just piling on now. But it's the truth.
  16. The No Name staff. Also know as, "Who are these guys?"
  17. Fans. All fans think they know how to run a team. The truth is there is no set in stone way to know who would make a good head coach or not. But is fun to play along anyway.
  18. Hell all of us would love something, anything to be excited about. Unfortunately, we've been conditioned long enough to know how this movie ends. Will it be different this time? It sure would be nice. Am I expecting it to be? No, not really. There's just too many things that must go right to expect much more than what you saw last season.
  19. If the team does anything to acquire a wr it should be to trade a defensive player for a young up and coming player on another team if possible. Otherwise, that money should go to building the oline and add a younger playmaker from the draft.
  20. Green Bay has a horseshoe up their asses when it come to finding a qb. Love has one of the worst throwing motions of any qb I have watched in recent memory. Yet he has somehow managed to make it work.
