They will run the ball a lot this season you can count on that. They would take some pressure off Sam early to ease him into a rhythm. Or they could come out slinging it all over the damn place and blow us all away. I'm betting it's the former.

And it certainly may be. I doubt it will be worse but who knows. I think you just can't get over them passing on Fields. You are like a jilted lover man. I guess that's easy for me to say as I don't get attached to these prospects. I rarely even get attached to players anymore. Hell Darnold may come out and look like complete ass but at least that would be entertaining. Don't worry brother they know it's about the QB.

It's clear that the Panthers are more concerned about getting the right qb than what they may have to pay him. Yes it would be nice to hit on one with a rookie salary. They decided that there was juice left for the squeezing in Darnold so I'm not going to second guess that. What truly gives me hope is that they will cut bait as soon as they see there's nothing there to salvage. It's all good brother we want the same thing in the end.

And when Fields is just a jag and Darnold has this team in the playoffs will you still be as critical?

That's not mortgaging anything. Passing on Fields or Jones is not mortgaging the future. It amounts to using that pick plus a 2nd next year at most for a QB and a CB. It does not prevent them from taking either going forward. Let's not make this into something it's not. SF mortgaged their future. We took a flyer.

I am going to stick with this being an 8-8 team with promise. One game either way does not alter that. A lot will depend on how fast Rhule can pull it all together with so many new faces as you say. I will say that for the first time in a very long time I actually think they have improved the team overall. How much is yet to be determined but I love what they are trying to do.

Who go undefeated for the next 10 years and the league names the championship trophy after us in homage.
