Well the alternative is to not admit a mistake in judgement and stick with Teddy. Personally I prefer the approach they are taking by moving on. Seems reasonable to me.

Rhule talks every player up in public. Doesn't mean he's going to draft them. Now what he says to them in the locker room may not align with what he says in public. He will use whatever language he deems necessary to motivate said player or players. Granted he seemed to bend that rhule with Teddy after the season with his "has to have a tremendous off-season" comment. And now with the openly aggressive search for his replacement obviously signals the end of the Teddy era before it ever got started. But I'm not even the least bit concerned about this up coming season. This is a new team, finally. There's no where to go but up Panthers fans. Enjoy the ride.

I would agree with that. But it's a fair deal that doesn't cost use a lot of picks. It's going to be interesting if they end up going into the season with Teddy on the team. It's obvious they want a change at QB, even Ray Charles could see that, God rest his soul.

Trevor Lawrence to have surgery on non-throwing shoulder

I take it you are new here. -
Seems fair to me.

Did you steal that from trash they threw out of Marty's old office?

I honestly don't remember that guy. Refresh my memory.

AKA_bluesman...I think.

I'm not sure how long I've been here. Too damn long that's for sure. Reading the all time great SCP's gameday speachs was the only thing that kept me here. Now it's because I have nothing better to do. Thanks I guess, Jon

Package him and Mick to the WTF team for a hot sandwich.

Matt Ryan and Jones coming back so that take a qb off the list
Jon Snow replied to Panthers316's topic in Carolina Panthers
Fans on here will cling to anything that gives them hope that this will mean they get a QB. Everything said this time of year by the teams is just stuff to make other teams think they won't. -
How close did the Panthers come to getting Stafford? Dang close.

Fitts is well known for his scouting background so I'm sure he has scouted damn near every player drafted by someone at some point. I am sure he also has knowledge of the guys already on the team a good deal better than we do. It doesn't take long for him and Rhule to discuss the teams current needs and anyone that has watched more than a couple of our games can obviously see where the weakest links are. I say we give this new crew some time to put it all together before we declare it a failure right out of the gate. -
You guys ever thought that maybe that's what the team wants everyone to think? That maybe it will generate interest in some team wanting to trade for pick number 8? You guys suck at poker. Please don't play for money.

Also, I warned you guys not to sleep on Jones. Smokescreen? Maybe.

Stafford didn’t want to come to the Panthers
Jon Snow replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
Right now the relationship between Rhule and Fitterer is labeled as a partnership. Rhule runs the "process" and the players on the field. Fitt is charged with finding said players. In theory if they are always able to come to mutual agreement on the major personnel decisions with each focusing on the important part of their perspective roles it should go smoothly. At least that's what I got from it. Tepper rights the checks so he's the boss. -
Opinions are like assholes, everybody has one. And they all stink. Get over it.

I admit I don't get the strategy towards Teddy. How they are handling that situation is puzzling to say the least.
