Hot Takes Immediately After the Game
Jon Snow replied to Admiral Ackbar's topic in Carolina Panthers
They need starters regardless of the base the chose to play. The only way they can fix that is through the draft. They've tried to buy the front seven since they can't draft one. They players not suitable for a 4-3 or a 3-4 scheme. They are mixed up group of career backups trying to be a versatile front defense under a guy who should have been canned 2 years ago. -
I’m trying to be positive on Bryce Young, but….

He simply didn't see JT. I read his lips on the sidelines after the play and that's exactly what he said. He could have run for the 1st down but had a brain fart instead. -

They ran a 4-3 almost the entire game yesterday. You see what happened. Just watch the dline in the next game and you will see how much they go to a 4-3 base during a game. It's not as simple as saying just switch to 4-3. They do not have the personnel for either. Its a mishmash bunch of career backups and a couple of starters thrown in. All requested by Evero under Dom Capers tootilage. -
I'm going to go out on a limb and say we lose to Arizona next week as well. I had predicted we go 0-2 to start the season and the true team will show up week 3. I'm trying to stick to that but they are not looking good.

Scouton was out there in the second half and looked lost. He was getting washed out in the line and ran into the backs of the dline taking himself out of the play. He missed a lot of tackles. Princely looked even worse. Everos defense is not helping them. -
Tepper is still pulling the strings
Jon Snow replied to Panthers Fan 69's topic in Carolina Panthers
He's only built an offense here. He worked with players Tampa already had and used their current offense to run it. I'm not giving him credit for that. If he was some offensive guru he would be with Pete today. You are ignoring Canales because of how Young has turned out. Both are what they are and neither are going to cut it. -
Dalton will be gone. They cannot dump all their qb's at once. You are suggesting they replace all of them, granted they all do need it. But that not feasible in one offseason. If there's a new coach he will have to bring in a new vet that can run his system if that's the case. Counting on a rookie right out of the gate is how we got here. Thise team doesn't have enough talent to favor a rookie right out of the gate.

And it sucks. He worked under Pete but he didn't design or call the plays. He followed Pete's process implemented Pete's concepts You cannot see any of that the last 2 years. A few deep shots does not indicate a west coast system. Canales was not good in Tampa when he had much better talent and he is no where near talented enough to take a incredible less talented team and make them better. -

He was an OC for Baker and the Bucs. Prior to that doesn't count as he wasn't the guy calling plays. You keep trying to give him credit for someone else's work. He has been given credit where it wasn't due. He's not a qb whisperer. That is what fans called him to have hope that he could fix Young because he "fixed" Geno and Baker when there was no proof he actually had anything to do with it. -

Canales doesn't have a system. He's only been an OC 2 seasons and both were not good. He talks about what he wants to do but it's not resembling anything that makes sense. The problems go well beyond a bad qb. -

Those 2 teams were not as depleted as the Panthers. There is no quick fix for this team. There is no foundation to build on. -
Yesterday was my 64th birthday and the game almost ruined it for me. Luckily I had one of my best birthdays yet. I hope you find a better job my friend.

Tepper hired a firm the he ignored. He had Morgan in all the GM interviews for goodness sake. -

Tepper cannot get anyone worth his salt to work for him. Dave and Dan were his only options. Canales is what I thought he was when he was hired. He's a glorified Pelaton instructor that is just happy to be here. -

The easiest fix is to clean house and hire a respected team builder. Tepper should not even set foot in the facility. -

^^^^ BINGO!!! Now you are beginning to see through the hype. We didn't get here in one offseason and it will not be fixed in one. This will take finding the right FO and coach combination and many years of good drafts by them to dig out of the nfl cellar. This team is FUBAR. -

The list is long indeed. So much for wr depth huh? The defense is still putrid. The coaches were getting out-coached all day. The entire team seemed lethargic and out of sync. And that's only part of it.
