Panthers waiver claims and practice squad signings
Jon Snow replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'm not sure what is the plan to be honest. I failed to see a pattern on special teams with who started where. -
I can see that and that's cool. I have my doubts about a lot of things going on but I'm willing to let it play out. There's more than one way to skin this cat so I'm open to learning new things.

Good question! I first thought that Shi was destined for it but it didn't materialize during camp or preseason. Only General Rhule knows the answer to that. -
Not surprised. He became expendable.

Wasn't a Temple or Baylor guy. -
All of that was under a different owner. The new owner gets to decide what the standard will be in that regard.

If true he will learn soon enough.

It is here. Drinking is now officially allowed. -
I kinda believe that myself. But I'm no expert.

It was the only thing they could do to be completely honest. Whatever was done after he came into the league didn't work. So you are forced to start over with his development. It's one hell of a gamble to begin with but now you are reprogramming him while asking him to start. With no backup plan. What could go wrong?

One man's trash and all that. I do not think we have established enough depth that we can afford to turn our nose up at anyone they grab right now.- 388 replies

I've noticed that they are sticking to that declaration by how he's being developed. They certainly are treating him that way. I give it a 50/50 chance as currently progressing.
-
It certainly was. He used and abused him for his own gain. He never had newtons best interests in mind ever. When Newton was used up Ron could not hide his crappy coaching any longer. That is a fact.
-
No one can do it effectively by going it alone.
-
Newton was already hanging on the position by a thread. Not getting the Vax was what broke it. So sad to see him go out this way and it started under Ron. fug Ron and his minions.

Except during the Clausen season. You might even have to include the Weinke season as well. Your premise is theoretically correct but there are always outliers.

That's desperation talking right there. But he's an upgrade over PJ I can't deny.

Talented Unvaccinated Players Getting Cut
Jon Snow replied to slumdogmillionaire's topic in Carolina Panthers
It was on the local morning news. They stated that 72% of the covid related hospitalizations here are unvaccinated people. That would mean the remaining 28% are. That's up from the 10% being touted. My friends are getting better sure. Never said they weren't. You read info that what you wanted to. One is still running a fever 7 days after a positive test. If you would have taken a better approach towards me I would have said all this already. And if you think im afraid of your threats we'll lol. Kiss my ass!!! -
I suspect it will too, but it's only due to the overwhelming numbers of hires at the level. I just think the success rate is not that overwhelming to discount a college background.

I have a friend who's entire family was vaccinated but they all have it now. I know a few other vaccinated people who caught it also. The percentage of vaccinated people in the hospital is going up also and that is something I want to know more about. -
Getting the coach hire right is critical no doubt. Most teams go for someone with NFL experience I agree. But they also have more misses due to that very fact. But nearly all nfl coaches have started at the college level at some point in their career. I think too much is made of that "college coach" thing because of the two high profile college coaches that failed in recent years. I just think too much is being made of that to try to discount what Rhule has accomplished with this team. For some it will never be enough.

As of this moment there are 10 rookies on the Panthers roster
Jon Snow replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
I thought that too but how do you explain Ian Thomas? -
How many coaches that have been hired with pro experience have succeeded? It's not much better even with the overwhelming majority having pro experience. It's not a sure bet by any means.
