  1. Yeah I'm not a fan of small edge rushers. We have enough of those already. If he can bulk up then he might just make a good contributer.
  2. Solid pick. Need dline help and this kid has promise. Could start on special teams immediately.
  3. Agree. They will probably spend the last few picks on roster churn for special teams.
  4. I sure hope so. That's a critical part of the game that you don't want to be holding your breath on everytime you trot them out there.
  5. He's starting anyway so whatever he does it's his last shot at ever starting again. He's not going anywhere unless SF comes off the Jimmy G trade demand.
  6. At one point last season I was advocating to draft a kicker and a punter. If you need one you better throw a pick at a good one now and then.
  7. Rhules future is at least 3 more seasons as the Panthers head coach.
  8. No he doesn't seem to want to do it. But I think it's because he's trying to include the others but the media is always asking him. I'm just glad he's the one doing the talking because Rhule and especially Tepper need to stay quiet until training camp.
  9. We need more of that on defense. I'm smelling what the Fitts got cooking.
  10. No, it's best that he sit down for this one. He talks too much and says things he should keep secret until the draft is over.
  11. Do you lose a bet or something? You seem awful upset over this. It's not the end of the world man
  12. I too thought he was. But I'm not a qb guru. I did stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night...or was that the bathroom floor. Either way alcohol was involved.
  13. LinvilleGorge is torn right now.
  14. Same. I said if it's a must for them I would take a chance on Corral. I waffles a time or two but settled into don't care in the end. Wanted a LT badly and was hoping we could get one of these kids to take a chance on. Never expected it to play out like this. I'm glad they stayed put at 6 when they had the pick of the litter on the tackles. That is such a huge get for this team. I'm not complaining about any of the draft class. Even if these two do not work out the strategy is solid and I hope they stick to it.
  15. It's why you should ignore mock drafts. Each team has its own scouts and set the board by the way they see the draft benefitting their team. You could put them all together and you couldn't find any of them agreeing on the number one over all much less specific positions.
  16. Is he OK? He's not taking this very well I'm sure.
  17. Who would have saw that coming?
  18. This entire draft was hard to peg. As for the qbs I knew nothing about them. Only saw a game or two of Howell and only highlights of the rest. Just going off that small sale size I honestly didn't see an nfl caliber QB in any of them. At least not in a short amount of time. My estimate had 1 or 2 second rounders and 1 3rd or vice versa. Figured 1 or two would go undrafted. Still shocked it may play out that way.
  19. That happens to a lot a great prospects unfortunately. Coaches are pressured to win and sometimes the player is sacrificed to try to make that happen. Its up to the scouts to determine what is left in the player that will translate to the nfl. It's a cruel business that chews these kids up and spits them out for the almighty dollar.
  20. Of course it helps. Just don't let that blind you to what is the critical things. Can he play the game at this level is all you need to know. Anything beyond that is gravy. Plus you should always be looking for someone to step in when he can no longer play at a high level. And you don't wait until that day arrives before you get that guy.
