Sorry, didn't mean to sound like an asshole. I was speaking out loud to myself mostly trying to figure out who it was. The defense has to prove its capable of getting off the field on 3rd down with a higher percentage rate than last year. That was their Achilles heel. That and stopping the run constantly will determine how they are ranked at seasons end. So far they have shown improvement in both areas.

Thursday night games worry me because they are almost always bad no matter who's playing. I just want us to play a hard fought and relatively mistake free football game. Do that and the score will be in our favor.

Interesting. Our 3rd down troubles are noticeable to the untrained eye and it looks like there is some merit there, not much but it's something.

I would be curious to know the percentage of 3rd downs they end in per drive if that is even tracked. The simplest way to fix 3rd down woes is to not get in a 3rd down situations that often. But that's easier said than done.
