How does the Wilson trade, effect the Panthers draft?
Jon Snow replied to Admiral Ackbar's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'm not seeing any correlation that would matter to us at the moment. Now if we trade for someone then it matters. It will certainly clear up slightly where they may go in the draft. But with Rhule in charge that may not clear anything either. -
I’ve held out hope…. I’m switching sides

Oh he will suck again this year if he gets to play. The rumors out there indicates that Sam is done as a Panther. The sense I get is that they will do anything to get rid of him, much like Teddy. Look for them to eat that contract to ship him if they must. -
Yeah, we already have one of those.

Ian Thomas Contract Details (also TE market is HOT)
Jon Snow replied to Evil Hurney's topic in Carolina Panthers
If you have to go back 4 years to find a few good plays for a player then that player is not good and has overstayed his usefulness by at least 2 years. -
I'm sure the plan is to try to trade back. But can they?

Has Fat Alice returned? -
I'm not sure how retirement factors into guaranteed money. But he would undoubtedly would get a great going away check. He gets a ton up front in bonus money, which is part of the guaranteed 153M. How much if any he would have to pay back at retirement is hidden in the contract somewhere. So yes, he could hang around until training camp and still walk away with a chunk of change.

He should have been cut years ago. -
...and he still gets the guaranteed money, I think...at least a large chunk of it.

That's one hell of a retirement package.

They are hot because there's not enough olinemen worth a tinkers damn in the league. Five on four isn't cutting it for a large majority of the teams in the league. So they are going 6 on 4 just to give the qb another half second to throw the ball. -
The fact that you listed 6 choices does not make it my choice. Maybe next time you should think about your thread title before you get all pissy with members on here because you didn't get what you were fishing for.

He's the ghost Sam keeps seeing. -
I call it like I see it. I've held out hope that eventually Rhule will do something meaningful to help this team. But each day that passes with him in control the outlook gets bleaker. At this point I'm just here to witness the final breaths of the Rhule administration. I guess that is showing optimism, right?

Yes it appears to be. Go figure. -
That's our biggest problem. Scratch that, Tepper is our biggest problem. Rhule is close behind.
-
Might be? He is as bad as Daley. Our starters would not make a backup spot on a majority of the nfl teams.

Somewhere Pete Rose is laughing his ass off.
