  1. It's quite possible. He wouldn't be a bad pick for the Panthers honestly. Although I would probably take Starks if I were going to take a safety but that's just me. I think they are not counting on Walker or Graham to be there. I think the Mykel Williams talk is just talk. He is just a younger version of what they already have on the roster.
  2. It would not surprise me at all. They have met with him at least 3 times according to reports. You don't do that without some serious interest in the guy.
  3. If I were to make a guess as to who the Panthers will draft at 8 it would be Emannwori, the safety out of SC. So far they have spent more time on him than anyone.
  4. Outside of the top 3 that's a sad list.
  5. If they could have put together several successive drafts like that we would have had back to back winning seasons already. They need to figure out how to draft better every draft if they ever want to build a winning team.
  6. Im still waiting for the Panthers to have a draft that changes the team for the good. We've had a few that changes it temporarily but it's few and far between.
  7. There's only a few teams out there with enough cap space to sign him. New England has the most the last I checked. I'm guessing he's out of nearly everyone's price range at the moment. I would venture to guess his asking price is very steep.
  8. I tried to be hopeful their rookie season. I saw some good and some bad. The bad was back breaking most of the time. But mostly what I saw was the FO wasting picks they couldn't afford to waste. They cannot afford a repeat of last years draft. They cannot afford to get cute.
  9. Oh don't get me wrong, I'm not saying we have had better since then. Like you said, it's probably our best in the past decade if I cared to dig into it. I'm hoping that our drafting has improved but I have not seen anything to indicate that it has.
  10. That blew my mind as well. I hope it's true because I love archeology and finding anything that could possibly change history fascinates me.
  11. Well I'm not sure that I would rate it as great. Yes our 1st pick was a great pick for the team although it has not been without loss of playing time. The 2nd pick was a complete waste. The 3rd pick has earned a spot as a reliable backup. The other 3rd pick, while he has worked hard to earn his place on the team, probably wouldn't find a spot on another team. The 4th pick is the only other starter that could get another job on another team. The rest isn't worth explaining.
  12. Carter, Hunter and maybe Jeanty. The rest are personal preference/need among a group of about 20 other guys on day 1.
  13. Anyone watching the Big 12 pro day today? I kinda like that they decided to do a conference wide pro day instead of each school having one. At least you have them competing under the same conditions.
  14. I think it will depend on where each end up and the defensive system they are in. But honestly, I don't see a huge difference in the two other than what they were asked to do on the field. I've got a feeling the Panthers will take a Georgia defensive player.
  15. Yeah injuries is a concern for whoever takes him 1st or 2nd overall. But i would take him over any qb in this class. But that's just me.
  16. Yeah it will take a few years to evaluate each class after they make it into the league. This class will be no different. But going into the draft it is not looking that good.
  17. Even with the foot injury he's still 1 of the top 3 in this class. It's an underwhelming class filled with developmental projects.
  18. I see 3 "blue chip" players. From 4 to 50 is all the same talent level of players.
  19. In b4 the thesis from McMillians agent detailing why Steve Smith is wrong.
  20. I think it was a paycut so there's nothing to kick.
  21. Who else are you going to get at that price? He is a semi reliable option that knows the system and works for peanuts. Let the man feed his family.
  22. Whoever the Giants sign will be a bridge for a draft pick. I'm not sure why they are waiting for Rodgers to his mind in this case as he would just be a rental anyway. Winston would probably help them win the same amount of games as they could get with Rodgers at this stage in his career.
  23. Apparently not. Not sure how he smells but he is far from elite and that is not an isolated opinion. Just based on what little film I've seen on him he needs a lot of work, I mean A LOT. He's not a sure thing.
