If that's the case we are in the playoffs and it's a moot point. They don't have to rush Corral into the lineup and we are trying to extend Sam on the cheap or flip him for picks. Win win.

Like I said last night very few coaches have the luxury of taking on a developmental qb. Most are in win now mode and none of these guys are ready to start right away. All of them need a year to learn an nfl offense and learn how to read nfl defenses. Pittsburgh has the luxury of taking a shot with Pickett because if he fails Tomlin isn't going anywhere.

I honestly I do not remember. But I do not concern myself with that as much as I watch how they fair against much better competition. If they can hang in there with the best college has to offer then they stand a better chance of making it in the NFL. Its not a guarantee mind you. But it is a better measure than his current physical shape. Its all a crap shoot anyway.

I agree. I think Corral was the target all along. Howell was probably option B. It was a bold strategy to wait it out after the qb's didn't start flying off the board, which I am thrilled that it played out like it did. When it got to the 3rd round it became too risky to think they could wait until the 4th. I think they fully expected to have to give up more to get a shot at any of them like the rest of us. I just hope that they picked the right kid to develop. But in any case it's not a back breaker if its not. I still hope the take a shot at one in the next draft. I think they do no matter what Corral does this season.

He's a Panther now so naturally I'm all in on him. I hope he becomes the next GOAT. Will he? Probably not. But it's a start at trying to solve the situation with a draft pick. Who can honestly complain about that? Who am I kidding this is the Huddle.

Hard to say honestly. It will not depend how Sam is doing, hopefully. It should depend on how he's progressing. If he's showing he's ready to take it on then throw him out there.

Did you actually think any of these qb's were actually going to beat Sam out for starter right away? As bad as Sam is these kids are nowhere near ready to supplant him, none.

News flash, they will be taking shots at qb until one sticks. This is the first shot at one in the draft. There will be more shots you can believe that. I just can't see why there is outrage against the best QB of a bad draft for qb's. Just because you are in love with another doesn't mean you have to hate this kid. Give him a chance. No one expects him to be a pro bowl QB or the face of the franchise out the gate. If you are then it's going to be miserable for you for a while. Look, having another local college kid on the team would have been cool but the Panthers decided to go with Corral so its done. He's a Panther now so obviously he's deserves out support and I will be hoping the teams faith in him is well founded. So Matt, get in here and show us what you can do. We need a turn of good fortune for a change.

You guys are hilarious. Put in a tampon and stop crying. This is a great shot at a qb. There's nothing to lose here but time. Time we were going to lose anyway. The kid has skills that could help him become something we have not seen since Cam was his old self, a competent qb. I will take that all day everyday. He could actually unseat Sam by the quarter pole. Dare I say he may just kick PJ to the curb permanently?
