Are you serious? With Ben McAdoo and PJ Walker? If you went into this game with expectations of any kind that's on you. This is a no win situation for any head coach. Bill Belicheat couldn't fix this sh*t mid-season.

Tepper wasted 3 seasons on this guy. I'm starting to wonder who's the bigger dufus.

Jason LaCanfora: Where do Panthers go from here
Jon Snow replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Funny how it's all Hurney drafted players being talked about. Well there is this Robbie guy in there as well. All are on second contracts except Burns. Interesting.- 51 replies

This doesn't surprise me. The vultures are circling this team waiting to see what they might pick off. If Fitterer and Tepper doesn't panic right now we may survive this with some core players left. But it also wouldn't surprise me if some of the players mentioned may been given the option to be traded if they wish to avoid another rebuild. Those other teams are certainly checking in to see if that may be the case.

Peyton Manning on Will Levis and the Panthers
Jon Snow replied to Panthers Fan 69's topic in Carolina Panthers
That's because he doesn't want use to take his boy Hooker. -
Sounds to me like there's going to be a roster evaluation from top to bottom as the season unfolds. At some point everyone is going to play to show what they can do including practice squad guys. That is they haven't be traded by then. Something to keep an eye on.

REPORT: Burns practically a "lock" to be traded before the deadline
Jon Snow replied to saX man's topic in Carolina Panthers
Sounds like they are switching to a base 4-3. No more hybrid crap. -
Star aligning for a win and the PJ meme to continue

That's the attitude! -
Like I said, please carry on.

I have but it gets buried in the posts and no one listens. I'm just going to let everyone keep saying this as if it somehow works. Please carry on.

Why are you telling us? We can't do a damn thing about what the team does in the field or in the draft. We can only cheer or boo depending on the results. You are preaching to the choir son.

This looks like 2 teams that are trying to out suck each other. This is what tanking looks like.

It better be a QB or DE in the 1st if we are drafting in the top 10. We already have our LT. Hell I believe you should only draft 3 positions in the 1st and that's QB, LT or DE. I could go DT or DE/LB in the to 20. But in the top 5 to 10 that would be my top targets unless I had a full cupboard of the 3 already. After that I would target WR or TE if the opportunity presented itself to get a good one. By then we would be drafting in the 28 to 32 range so the sky's the limit.

It probably mean that he will call the game differently and rotate personnel more frequently. That's about all he can do besides running different plays.

I guess I tend to look at things like influence through a seniority lense. I'm trying to motivate a team of individuals are like herding cats, it's almost impossible. People tend to relate to someone through common experiences in life. It's a generational thing that only someone of you generation can relate to. In sports or the corporate world it's all the same. In a typical successful organization the senior managers are older and more experienced just as in sports with coaching. And just like the corporate world there is a point where a disconnect between managers and the hierarchy of the remaining staff just cannot communicate. They cannot communicate on the same level because technlogy and HR have made the guys with the most knowledge and experience obsolete.

I wouldn't be so sure it was Tepper who chose Wilks. He may have suggested or even issued a directive to someone else that a competent nfl coach be hired. Someone with nfl head coaching experience but not specifically who that must be. Now having said that, I would not be surprised if he also didn’t give a second direct to a certain individual to look for a possible replacement for the person that is the reason for why he had to issue the first directive. But that just me.

The only problem I see with those guys is that they have not evolved with the game. It's hard to predict how their system will compliment or mesh with these players that are young enough to be grandkids to most of the coaches.
