If this place closes I will have to go into rehab.

If you think Andy was bad just wait until you see Hooker. Thats if he has even learned enough of the playbook to complete 1 drive much less an entire game.
-
Which would have probably worked out better in the ling term had the FO just stuck with it for a little longer. But hindsight is 50/50.

All you really care about is the Tmac gets his yards. Im not interested in taking a step back. You either improve a situation or you shouldn't be the coach or GM. Im not listening to anyone that can't see past a long ball pass. It takes a hell of a lot more than a big arm to be a great qb in the nfl.

You're not going to find a better starter in FA than Young. Its that simple. You can bring in another reject for "competition" if it makes you feel better but the truth is Young will be starting here next season barring another injury.
-
If he wins the starting job there's no set back. If you are seeking someone to start day 1 and ball out from there then good luck. Doing nothing at qb is not a strategy and counting on a FA reject to magically become a Franchise QB is not a real plan either. They will have to draft another qb if you really want Young replaced at QB1.
-
It would not set us back 5 years when it would only cost 1 draft pick. Now if they try to trade up again I will be all for burning BOA to the ground.

Draft 1, hell draft 2 if you have to. Just get some fresh bodies in the damn place.

"Stop overreacting. It's only one loss. The season isn't dead."
Jon Snow replied to R0CKnR0LLA's topic in Carolina Panthers
I knew it was going to be a loss but it didn't need to be a blowout. Canales could have kept it a respectable loss had he just ran the damn ball with Rico and the score would not have been 40 to 3 blowout at least. -
He started running to try to keep the Bills offense for scoring anymore points on them in the second half when it was too late. He kept trying to get Chuba involved when it wasn't working.
-
Canales abandoned the run on the 1st 2 series. He never allowed the running back to get into a rhythm. He got out coached plain and simple.

After we release Dalton tomorrow, who do we sign?
Jon Snow replied to sonburst4's topic in Carolina Panthers
We have a backup starting already and it's not Dalton. What we don't have is a future starter. Forgot a franchise qb I would settle for a really good starter for the time being. -

No you cannot have one without the other. I just cannot see the FO looking at the results they see on the field every Sunday and say they are set at the qb position. There is NO WAY they could not see it. -
Well I don't think he will ever be consistent. He will always be up or down with his play. Mostly down.

Im not sure you haven't seen everything already. What you've seen is all there is to see. There's not magical evolution that's going to take place where he turns into the next Drew Brees or Patrick Mahomes. You've seen his best and worst. The worst far outweighs the best.
-
I don't think anyone is settling on him except maybe the team. Im not sure how long that will last. As of today and for the remainder of this season he's the best we have.
-
I would argue the percentage is higher than 60%.
-
He's not elevating anyone around him and will never be that kind of qb. He is what he is. He will always need a good team around him to play his best. His best is not a game changer but game manager. If you accept that then you will understand what the outlook is going forward.

Well from where I sit in the peanut gallery there's no excuse left. Injuries happen and others have to step up. We aren't winning more than one more game at best. And that's if our backup level qb can manage to pull himself together and do his best to not lose the game before the 2nd quarter starts. Im not talking about Andy if that's not clear.
