I think he thought his starters would play better. Or at least he thought he had more "starter" level players than what we actually have. I mean I knew some of them would not start on another team but I'm not an optimist like Frank. Scott gets the players and Frank decides who plays. They both have work to do and not a lot of room for error.

He needed to evaluate other players to find out just how bad our depth really is. We all found that out. It's why he said he didn't know what type of team he was going to have until the played game 1. Now he knows what he's dealing with and he has his work cut out for him. I think he just got conformation on why this was a perennial 5 to 6 win team and why its going to take more than Bryce to fix it.

You don't want to peak too soon. See it every season where they are predicting the conference Champs after 3 or 4 games into the season. It's rare any of those 3 game champions even make the playoffs. They never learn.

What magic can we pull to find a receiver?
Jon Snow replied to RIPTreyLance's topic in Carolina Panthers
The separation he gets is due to him being a 4th read option. The defense doesn't count him in coverage if most our options are covered. His separation is misleading, but he can move once he gets the ball in his hands. If he becomes more of a receiving threat then defenses will tighten that up to where he would be in line with the others. Basically, the defense never really worries about him in the open field as a receiver until they have to. Yesterday they didn't. -
You are wasting your time with that guy. He's the kind that didn't want Bryce or Frank in the first place so nothing either of them do will be good enough.

It comes from the CJ Stroud, AR and Howell fanboys. They never wanted Young to begin with and are looking for anything to discount him. Some will NEVER accept Young not matter what he does. We will see where all these qb's stand at the end of the season.

Of course he was! We were always picking in the top 10 because of him. Hard to miss when you're picking that high.

Sanders ran into a lot of scrums as well. I just don't know what they were looking at in the first half.

It might have been that. But if both had just bounced one of those stuffed runs outside it could have been a different ballgame. I'm not sure what they were looking at on both of those 1 yard runs on the first drive but they had the outside wide open. There was so many "missed opportunities" in this game that I'm sure when they look at the tape they will be kicking themselves.

He didn't look like he had a good game. Chubba looked like he had the better game. Neither seemed to know where the outside lanes were, but Hubbard found the hole the most, at least from my old eyes anyway.

None.

He's not the best player on the team.

I hope it fails miserably.
