  1. We also have a safety net if he were to get fired or resign. There is lots of potential head coaches already on staff to promote.
  2. He's there to help them identify leaders. To identify the guys who are me first types so the team will know what they are getting if they draft or sign them. That's a pretty good thing to know before you throw a ton of cash and responsibility at a player.
  3. Well, if you want to develop minority coaches on the offensive side of the ball to become head coaches you've got to start somewhere. The Panthers are doing just that. If someone is complaining about that then they are complaining just to complain.
  4. Post away man. No disrespect intended. Just saying that it will not matter much with this staff. They will be well versed in many different schemes that there will not be a set approach. The schemes will be an opponent specific approach for that game. Just enjoy the forest being assembled and try not to focus so much on a couple of trees.
  5. Who cares? These cats can run anything they want to run. Hell they can make up something you've never seen before. Don't sweat the small stuff.
  6. The Panthers are not trading for Lamar folks. You might as well save your energy for arguing about something that actually may happen.
  7. That would certainly make our home game with the Saints worth the price of admission.
  8. I didn't say they would pull it off. Just saying that it's a great approach.
  9. And that's the way it should be with a winning program. Identifying and developing the best young coaches is as important as identifying good football players. You are building an organization, a real professional football team.
  10. Tell that to Bucky Brooks. He has Hooker rated ahead of Levis and AR. It's a long way to draft night. Anything can happen.
  11. Here's a hypothetical for you. What if the Panthers use the 9th pick on Hooker? Would that be considered taking a shot on a 1st round pick qb? Throw out your recency bias from this past season.
  12. Let someone else sign him.
  13. It doesn't. It only sounds plausible in a fans mind.
  14. So the Ravens think he's worth roughly 167 mil for the length of the length of the contract. He's yet to get them anywhere so they decide he's not worth the trouble to go any higher. They built their team around him but they will offer him up to anyone willing to sign him for whatever he wants for 2 1st round picks. Sounds like a smart decision to me.
  15. I would be surprised if the Eagles represent the NFC in the next SB. It's hard to repeat that anyway but when you lose that much staff and FA could cost them some players as well it is especially hard. As for the Chiefs, I doubt they represent the afc because, well the odds say it's not a safe bet for the same reasons. But in their cade they may no lose as much staff but I'm not sure about their FA loses looming.
  16. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the top prospects will not be who the media is saying they are. There will be a few surprises that no one saw coming. It happens in every draft.
  17. Everyone gets excited about a draft class a year in advance. The media is a hype machine and you have to ignore that stuff. But fans of certain players or their schools always eat that up because, well, they want to hear it. But the reality is the media has no clue how professional teams view these prospects. They are lazy and just repeat whatever some other mouth-breathing "draft expert" says. None of them have a clue.
  18. He will not get that in the open market. He's fooling himself if he thinks that. If any team pays him that much they are idiots and are going to be giving the Ravens a top 5 pick for 24 and 25. Bank on it.
  19. It was stated near the end of the video that he was selling his stake in his hedge fund company and making his new sports franchise his new full time business. If he learns as fast as he did in hedge fund investments we just might have gotten lucky with our owner. And I still am undecided on whether I like the guy. But I've got to give credit where credit is due. He's the man with investments. Let's see if he's the man when it comes to his teams success.
  20. Yeah unfortunately it's the times we are living in. I would probably be the same way if I didn't know the person taking the picture.
  21. He certainly is not afraid to take a risk with his money. If you watched the cool video documentery someone posted about him you would get a better understanding of how he became the man he is today. He's a gambler and the Yoda of hedge fund management.
