What Do You Think About Our Rookies Thus Far?
Jon Snow replied to Hoenheim's topic in Carolina Panthers
Not bad, not great. Talk to me after the season. There's too much disfunction to make an accurate call. -
No restructuring contracts. This team needs to clear up the cap while they still suck. Which appears to be for a long time to go still.

Well that went better than I expected.

Agree 100% on all points. The first thing they need to get right is drafting. Until they start hitting on draft picks nothing else will matter. At least clear the cap while they suck.
-
I just think you will waste the first 2 years of his contract on scrub qb's. I agree you build out the team until you get a qb but I'm not for doing that with giving put big contracts. We've been doing that our entire existence and look where that's gotten us. They are the worst in the league with one of the worst cap situations in the league. At some point you have to stop the bleeding.
-
I'm just not enamored with what he brings to this team in it's current state. To me it would be a wasted contract without a future qb to develop with him. Until we have that it's just not financially feasible to invest big in receivers when you don't have a qb and probably won't for a couple more seasons yet. I think they should just keep drafting them and let the cream rise to the top. When they do that's who you throw money at.
-
Paying him now does not remove the worry about LT. I would not extend him until I had to because, as you've seen, you do not know how the season will play out or who may be available in the draft. Patience padawon.
-
I would try to trade Johnson myself. This team is in no shape to be paying big money to a wr right now. It's time time draft and play those players and take our lumps. Worry about signing our own drafted receiver to a long term contract if we ever draft one worth it.
-
It was nice while it lasted. But some things could have been avoided. That's all I've got to say about that.
-
Yeah I don't want to hear any extensions talk for anyone on this team. Anyone not already extended will not be extended until the end of the season, if at all. You don't hand out big contracts to players on the worst team in the league. It's loonisy to even consider it.
-
I think we are good until they run out of ps players to throw out there. After that does it really matter who's out there? Throw Teppers fat ass out there.
-
This is what I've been begging for.
-
As Wilks replacement.
-
Only if there's not an edge rusher available at that pick. LT is not at the top of our list of needs at the moment.
-
I would encourage the owner to sell the team.

What were your expectations for this season?
Jon Snow replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
If you expected a lot of wins this season you were not paying attention. They have a first time GM and a first time HC who just came from being a first time OC. Neither of which I would call in hot demand by any stretch of the word. Starting out with the worst team in the league by every measure you can think of. All of which are the puppets of David Tepper. You must be a serious homer. -

Worse. And thought they wouldn’t win over 4 games before the season started. I cannot seriously see them winning another game. -

I do not disagree with that at all. Reich deserved to be fired. But he did not have much say on the coaching hires. That doesn't excuse his own ineptitude.
-
He wasn't leaning he was pushed.
-
Are you sure that's what Reich wanted or that's what he was told to run? I'm not sure Frank got to choose any of his coaches. And Dom being here almost assures they stick with the 3-4.
-
Leave him where he is. His issues are due to inconsistent guard play beside him and bad qb play behind him.
-
I don't even know if Evero is to blame for what's happening on defense. I said before the season started that this team could not afford to lose 1 starter on defense or it was toast. Welp, here were are with damn near all of them injured. This team will not win another game. The players will be checking out soon if they haven't already. Canales is toast as well.
