Nothing. Wait until he's a cap causality and then talk to him.
-
They are idiots if they do.
-
The only reason to do that is to dump his contract on someone else. I definitely think it would not be for a talent upgrade from this draft. Although the bar is not very high it seems.

I think there is one in the draft forum.

Joe Person mock draft house party special

I'm underwhelmed with this. Right positions, wrong players. -

ALERT: De’Mont Jones a fit with the Panthers
Jon Snow replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yeah that doesn't quite reassure me as "Evero's" guys haven't been very good. -

And how has he helped them win? He hasn't. -
REPORT: Panthers interested in WR Darius Slayton
Jon Snow replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
How is trading for a guy who normally wouldn't come here a benefit? If he doesn't want to be here forcing them to through a trade is not a recipe for success. -

Agree to disagree. The Pats won due to Brady not his TE's. Kelsey owes his success to Mahomes as he couldn't do anything otherwise. The rest didn’t help put their teams over the top either. So no, a 1st round TE is not what puts a team in a position to win. Its defense and a run game. -
REPORT: Panthers interested in WR Darius Slayton

The contract still has to account for the incentives whether he meets them or not. I personally would not trade for any player that is offered up for trade. They will be released eventually and will not cost a draft pick along with a large contract. -

No, no he is not a blue chip player. No TE has ever made the difference for a team. He would not add a single win to the teams win total. Fixing the defense can add 4 to 5 wins to this teams win total. I will stand by that. -

True. This would assure it. -

If Dan takes a TE at 8 it will be the downfall of his career. Book it. -

That we can afford? I doubt it. This would be throwing something against the wall type of move. -
I think the Cowboys are going to keep him.

I'm guessing it would take Howard falling to 8 for that to happen. Ideally 3 qb's, Carter, Howard, Hunter and Warren are off the board when we pick. I'm hoping the Jags take Warren. That could put Graham into play. But if only 1 qb goes top 10 we may be left with a lot of maybe good talent.

That's a good draft. I could live with that.

Panther Needs and Draft Depth at Those Positions

I'm hoping that those days are behind us. Granted not all free agents work out so you cannot expect them to be perfect at it but I would hope more do than don't. -

Well look at it like this. No one can play with their gifts until then so you're not alone. -

Luckily for you someone will make the decision for you. In this case all needs will theoretically be addressed in FA. Now will they be long term fixes? Definitely not in most cases. Those will come from the draft, several drafts in fact. -

I kinda like that it's that way now. I'm ready to get this thing going. -
That's why versatile players that are good at multiple positions on the line or in the back field are increasingly sought after. Can the player play with his hand in the dirt and stand up on the edge? Can play on the ball and off the ball? What is his speed from sideline to sideline. That is what teams ask. Not whether he's a 4-3 or a 3-4 player.
