How many more losing seasons could you endure?
JawnyBlaze replied to hepcat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Under Rhule? Zero. Under a new HC? Two as long as the second shows improvement from the first and a discernible plan. -
Article: Watson did not want the Panthers
JawnyBlaze replied to WarPanthers89's topic in Carolina Panthers
I saw that earlier. It’s Florio. He just regurgitates speculation as fact (like a lot of people around here). Maybe that was the case, maybe it wasn’t. But as far as I’ve seen, it’s not a publicly known fact one way or the other. -
Weak MLB play. Shaq’s been the only decent LB we have. We get one or two good LBs that can get off blocks and make stops, we’re in business.

So, We Move On From Rhule, Do we try and keep Snow?
JawnyBlaze replied to DaveThePanther2008's topic in Carolina Panthers
No. Even if the new HC wanted him, Snow’s defense is fools gold. We’re stacked with talent on defense, it’s the scheme that fails us against teams that know how to exploit it (which has been almost all of them for the last couple months) -
And his blocking is getting better. He seemed to struggle a bit early but I’ve seen some nice work in the blocking game the past few games.
-
He hasn’t had many catches but when he does get the ball thrown his way he doesn’t seem to have butterfingers like every other pass catcher except Zylstra.

More from Jacksonville: Kicking the kicker

“Head ball coach”? Who even talks like that? -
My mind is perfectly happy and healthy. I don’t have the same kind of beliefs and values you do. Ive never mocked Rodgers’ belt celebration. I wasn’t even mad at Davis’ trolling. I was talking about YOU, a supposed Panthers fan, not Mike Davis. You’ve admitted you can’t stand Cam for vapid and shallow reasons. Your attitude is the problem, not good natured opponent poo talking.

Hasson Reddick… what are you going to offer him?
JawnyBlaze replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
A lot. He’s a core player the next regime will want. -
“Opens his mouth like that”? Gd you’re pathetic. Guess guys like him should just keep their mouths shut.
-
He’s a great player but his effort lags when the going gets tough. More than most. He’s be one of the great ones if we had the QB, OL and coaching to keep him motivated. I do want to keep him but not at top dollar. Hopefully next year’s regime is enough to bring 100% out of him.

A list of HC candidates

That’s what I’m afraid of. Some miracle improvement to finish the season allowing him to continue hoodwinking the organization for years to come like Rivera did.
-
No int but he hit him as soon as he let go of the ball. These roughing calls are ridiculous
-
Oh look at that. Quick offense. Let Cam make calls at the line. March down for the td
-
Well that ones on Cam. Just didn’t see him.
-
Man three dropped interceptions
-
Henderson getting abused by some scrub. Nice breakup the play before but that’s like three completions on him already
-
One drive into the Nixon era and offense is looking good so far.

The defense has the talent but Snow is too limited to use them to their full potential. Commentators and other players were saying from early in the season that what we do on defense isn’t special, it’s just not done in the NFL much. And now we’re seeing why. Opponents have adjusted and our scheme can’t handle it.

I don’t disagree. I think he’ll OC for some college and do well, be more picky the next time he jumps to the pros and do better. With Teddy, Sam and our oline, it would be hard on any coordinator. I for one thought the best group of skill positions we’ve ever had would be enough, but they weren’t enough to drag Teddy’s ass to any kind of production and after failing again gave up before halfway through this season.

That he wouldn’t play out his contract? The proof is his entire career. He’s never been anything but the ultimate teammate. There’s no proof he was demanding an extension at all, much less a “giant one” and even much less wouldn’t play without one. edit: the belief that he wasn’t going to was based on some instagram comments that he wanted some commitment. That’s a huge gap from “wouldn’t play without a huge extension”. For all we know what he wanted was some verbal commitment or something. Speculation was running wild (as usual) with zero accountability.
