  1. Shaq is overpaid for what he brings. He was great last year but I haven’t seen the same greatness this year. YGM is still young and has time to develop. Half you numbnuts were trying to give up on Brown too. At worst YGM will likely be a decent player and good depth that isn’t costing much. No need to try to get rid of him. If we could get anything for Shaq to get his contract off our books we should take it. And no one is trading a pick that we could use to replace YGM with for him, so we might as well hang onto him and see if he develops.
  2. Not if we get a good coach and QB. Plenty of teams in worse shape than us outside those two spots have turned it around quickly. I know it’s edgy and trendy to let emotion say the team is complete trash and going to take X years to turn around, but there’s no way to know that. The Giants still have much worse talent top to bottom than us but they’re competing now. All it took was year one of a new coach.
  3. I wouldn’t take less than a low first and second or mid first and third for CMC. We’re more than a year from competing if our new QB takes time to develop and we get an old school defensive HC. We get a bright HC that hits the ground running and our QB is ready to produce early like Cam was or Herbert or some of the other young QBs, we’re ready to compete immediately.
  4. Oh hell no to trading for Mac Jones. We already did that twice with Darnold and Mayfield.
  5. Ping pong has apparently taken the nfl by storm. There’s been stories about a few other teams having ping pong tables in the locker rooms. Bad teams too. It’s not a Panthers thing.
  6. Of course he is. Tepper said as much in his presser and I think Fitterer has done a good job so far. Not perfect, but good. And who knows how much of those bad contracts are due to Rhule having more power and demanding they get done by any means necessary. He definitely deserves a shot to show what he can do without the inverted power structure of having a coach over him.
  7. Probably no one. If anyone it’ll probably be McAdoo
  8. Woods has been really good, I hope we don’t dump him
  9. Players would learn to stop committing penalties
  10. It was somewhat satisfying to hear Pereira say after the call for Stafford “well that’s simply not roughing the passer, they got that wrong.”
  11. I’m absolutely considering the cap and the only bad contract we have is Shaq (and Anderson but he’s gone anyway). No one is trading for him. DJ’s contract is a steal since Hill and Kirk and those guys blew up the WR market. The cap can be managed. You can’t just throw away good players because you’re afraid of the cap. We absolutely can sign Burns and then later Brown and Chinn. The cap killer is the QB and we won’t have to pay big QB money for a while.
  12. A good WR, a good LB, a great secondary, a really good DT and another good DT. Pretty much most of the team except QB and TE.
  13. The cap can be worked without giving away your good young players at a loss in value. The Giants were terrible with a terrible QB last year. They look pretty competitive to me. Bengals went from #1 overall to in the Super Bowl. We get the right coach and QB combo, there’s no waiting period on how fast we can be competitive. Just boils down to getting those two spots right.
  14. I’ll never understand this “blow everything up” mentality. I can only assume it’s petulance. You don’t build a good team by discarding all the good players. The only good player that should even be considered is CMC and ONLY if we get a significant return for him. I only say him because of the risk of injury and probable longevity at that position. Otherwise, people saying trade Burns, Chinn, DJ, we’re not likely to get equal in the draft with whatever picks we get for them. Probably not even close. Makes no sense.
  15. It’s still Rhules fault. Rhules QBs, Rhules staff on the sideline for the most part. Lingering lack of morale. Rhules stench is still all over the team.
  16. This team is in better shape than at the end of the ‘10 season. We get a good coach and QB in the off-season, we’re on our way.
  17. There can be balance between more than two or three passes and “we should have run the ball”. We should have thrown more, not more than running it.
  18. Allowing McAdoo to call a game with only two or three forward passes for the first three and a half quarters is enough to prove to me our next HC ain’t on the team right now. Those two or three passes from PJ were horribly off target, but you still gotta try.
  19. Don’t understand why we didn’t at least use a timeout on the 4th down…
  20. Fowler’s a little bitch. The contentiousness in the interview happened when Fowler was trolling by asking if Tepper just rolled out of bed that morning and decided to fire Rhule, knowing gd well this wasn’t a spur of the moment decision. It was a long time coming and Fowler is known to be a troll anyway. Tepper has fuged up plenty, but this wasn’t one of the times.
