Seemed to me it was because even when there wasn’t pressure, he reacted as if there was because the line was so bad most of the time. That’s the problem with stats, no context.

I honestly think he’ll do ok. Broncos have a solid defense but our OL is infinitely better than when Darnold was starting last year and Darnold’s problem is getting skittish under pressure. When he has time he’s a decent QB

He was terrible at that job. He definitely lost games. Every time the game was close late he crapped the bed.

If the point is to win games, he was just as bad. He might put up some numbers but he’s as anti-clutch as they come and his scaredy way of playing hurts the team more than his ability to inch down the field helps it.

Easily Stroud, second choice would be Young. None of the others impress me

If anyone actually says we should take a QB with our first pick no matter who had already been taken, they should be ignored. “QB or bust” isn’t a defendable argument. But if we have a chance at a guy the team believes in we should do anything in our power to go get him. Stroud and Young are those type of guys, just depends on which the new coach will prefer. But you don’t take Levis or Hooker or some other less talented guy at the top of the first just because you need a QB. If we’re picking at 3 and there is no way to move up for Stroud or Young, we try to trade down or take whoever is top on our board and maybe Levis, Hooker or one of the other guys is available at the top of the 2nd and if the team believes they’re a good value there we roll the dice with a 2nd round pick. Same strategy we used last draft. Didn’t reach for Pickett because neither he nor any of the other QBs were high talent guys. But when the value was right and a guy with potential was available we went and got him. tldr: there’s a lot more nuance than most here (and Darin gantt) like to spend brain cells on

One thing I liked, on that Burns sack he had to presence of mind to peel off and jump for the bat down in case Mariota got the pass off. Smart

Trash coach, threw his players under the bus, stubbornly held back talent. No thanks, he stuck around 6 years too long. Even Rhule might have been able to have a “winning record” with the generational talents we had those years.

‘15 was incredibly overrated, ‘08 was great, ‘03 was great. I’d put ‘22 almost on par with them.

Trade up for our QB. But outside of that, for now I’d probably go with that WR from TCU. Kid is a beast, best WR in college right now.

Probably a similar trade deal it took for most top two or three pick trades recently, two firsts and two seconds one each in the next two drafts. Luckily we have an extra second this year. So essentially it’ll cost an extra first (next year) and two seconds to get our QB
