Why Bryce young will be the pick and we should be excited

Yea, well when you come out slinging words like “fleeced” it’s gonna happen lol. We’ve already gotta listen to 75% of the national media describe it that way despite according to the trade chart it’s pretty much an even fair trade (with Moore as a mid first round value). Definitely a win-win situation imo, same as the McCaffrey trade earlier in the year. Just something that had to be done.

I would guess his “keep it to himself” nature contributes to the slacking when times are tough. Rather than act out he just has mini depressions (not trying to diagnose him or anything, not a doctor, but I’ve had plenty experience in my life with similar people).

Nah, he’s actually the opposite of a prima donna. Like frank said he’s very laid back. Seems mildly introverted and keeps his frustrations to himself most of the time. That’s why this petulance kinda caught me off guard. But whatever, it’s not a big deal, just surprising and kinda dumb. We really didn’t want to let go of him, that’s why we turned down the 1 from GB and tried to give you guys an extra 1, but the Bears required him as part of the trade so it had to be done

Oh, ok. If “Marc with a C Ryan says so” … Nobody knows yet. Not these “journalists”, not their sources, nobody outside maybe Fitterer, Reich and Tepper. Maybe. -
He’s not lazy, moody might be a better way to describe it. When things are going well he’s balling. If things are tough it appears he doesn’t give 100%. I love DJ but this comment sounded very petulant. Not angry, but dumb af. Like a little kid whose friend picked the star athlete to be on their dodgeball team first and pouts “I didn’t wanna be on your team anyway, I’ll be on this team that appreciates me”. I’m sure he’ll show out at first, but if things aren’t going well in year two he might go back to less than 100%.

I’d mostly agree. I’d put the coaching staff at #1 and Sanders over Bell, but not by wide margins. Easily the most interesting and promising off-season in panthers history after the very first heh

I think they know without a shadow of a doubt they like at least two guys. Which guy may be tbd, but they could absolutely trade that haul because they know they love at least one but maybe two guys and they want to be able to decide between them without hoping someone ahead of them takes their guy.

Coaching, ease of division, new star QB

I mean I can understand having some emotions about it, but anyone with half a brain and the ability to read can see they didn’t want to get rid of him. We just weren’t going to get our QB without letting him go.

Just my opinion, Bryce Young is the Reggie Bush of college QBs. Sure, he looks great in college. I’m not sure he will translate to the pros whether it’s because he’s so small he won’t last or because the pros are a different game from college. I think barring injury he’ll at least be pretty good, similar to Bush, but he las limitations. Not only is Stroud simply a better thrower of the football, he’s better at getting the ball from his hand to the receiver, but he’s also the right size and doesn’t have those same limitations. His skillsets are a direct 1:1 translation to the NFL unlike Young. Not everyone who can scramble around and play backyard football in college can do it in the NFL. Some can. But the accuracy, anticipation and touch that are Stroud’s advantage over Young are things that are always needed in the NFL and rarely seen at the level Stroud demonstrated all year in college.

Sanders is probably 6x better than Hubbard. Hubbard had a few nice runs last year but he’s still butt cheeks. The new system probably needs a RB with hands, that ain’t Chuba
-
I get that, and the usual “I didn’t get drafted til the 7th round” or whatever stuff is at least somewhat understandable. The stuff he said is just stupid and fake outrage.

Saw that on ig. Ffs they didn’t want to get rid of you, DJ. Don’t be a drama queen.

If anyone I would guess Chinn, the only good player with any value and doesn’t have a clear position in our new defense.
-
What does that even mean? He thinks he should take one or two and hope for a better deal later? Not likely to get a huge contract at 27 as a RB

Just over $6mil a year. Not a bargain, but not bad.
