  1. Jfc Bryce. Just give Burns a free sack. There was no need to take that sack ffs
  2. Yes. Arm strength is a problem too, but his biggest problems are decision making and accuracy.
  3. The word elite was in none of my posts. And it doesn’t matter, he’s a top five guy this season and this is the season to extend him. That’s how it works. We were lucky to get him for just the ninth highest contract and not top one or two. He’s a steal for what we paid. Could he start slacking off and it turn into a bad contract? Sure, but none of the evidence of his work ethic would suggest that.
  4. The thing about Chuba that has improved exponentially from his first two or three years is his vision. The run you referenced was a direct result of his excellent vision: being patient, finding holes, running behind blocks, accelerating at the right moment.
  5. For the record, a brand new contract that lands at #9 among the position for a top 5 guy at the position is a steal. Some of you act like we made him the highest paid (which is usually what happens with a new deal for a top 10 guy)
  6. He isn’t overpaid, he’s medium paid. And he was good last year with a bad OL, so there goes that argument.
  7. No single player or position makes a team go from bad to good other than QB. By your logic we shouldn’t resign anyone.
  8. And for people whining about Brooks, you need two good RBs when you don’t have any decent QBs. By the time we need to pay Brooks (if he proves worth it) Chuba will be on his last year and we can draft a guy to be Brooks’ #2. Smart strategy.
  9. Good signing. This is a very reasonable number and he’s still young enough to still be productive in four years. Very happy about this.
  10. But he didn’t get a big deal, he got a very reasonable deal. Young guy that will still be producing at a high level in four years. This was a good resigning. We’re going to need two good RBs (Chuba and Brooks) while the QB situation is getting figured out.
  11. And then after the first pick, of course I want defense for the rest of the draft.
  12. I’m still tentatively on the Cam Ward train. There are things about his game in don’t love, specifically his throwing motion (looks like he is shot putting the ball) and the way he doesn’t appear to move with urgency, always seems TOO relaxed and I’m not sure that’ll work at the NFL level. But otherwise I like what I’ve seen so far. I still have a lot of research to do though, I’ve just watched a few videos on YouTube.
  13. So I guess they didn’t get an offer for him that was as good as they expect to get in the offseason.
  14. Most of Facebook panthers groups are the same way, living in delusional world.
  15. The reason not to play him would be that he’s not on the team anymore because he was wisely traded away when his stock probably won’t be any higher. If he is still on the team next Sunday, then yea might as well keep playing him.
  16. I caught a lot of poo in the game day thread for a similar thought lol. It was a good throw but if it had been placed ahead of XL where he could extend his arms to catch instead of having to trap it against his shoulder/chest area the ball wouldn’t have been in the defenders reach to rip away. Good throw, but coulda been better.

  18. Best case scenario is we use this decent game to hustle some other team out of a higher pick than we would have gotten for him before today. But if we don’t trade him, then yea. See if we can get more decent games out of him to boost the trade value as much as possible. Maybe strategically start Andy in games against good defenses and Bryce against bad defenses.
  19. He got a decent game out of Bryce. Proof enough he’s a coaching savant.
  20. If we pick 2nd, 3rd, something like that I just hope #1 takes Sanders leaving Ward for us.
  21. One decent game is enough for you? lol. Not even a good game, a decent game. One out of what, 20 now? Jfc. It was easily the best game of his career, good job by him. I need to see a LOT more, and not just of the same thing but actual GOOD games.
  22. Very solid game by Bryce overall. Going to need to see a LOT more than one decent game to change my opinion after like 18 terrible games leading up to it, but it’s a start.
  23. Gd these are bad throws but luckily the receivers are doing something with it.
