  1. QBs that are without a doubt better than Cam: Rodgers, Brady, P. Manning, Brees (though that's becoming debatable, I'd still put him there), Rivers. Big Ben can be made a case for. Luck can be made a case for, but a case could be made against just as easily. On par with Cam is Romo and maybe Ryan and Flacco. Cam is unquestionably better than Eli, Palmer, Cutler, Wilson, Stafford, Kap (lol at him even being mentioned).
  2. I'm hoping for Stewart, CAP, Wegher as our RBs, Tolbert as our FB and Todman as our KR. If SOMEONE has to get cut from those 4, I'm looking at Todman. I think CAP and Wegher both have experience at returns, and KR is much less important than PR which is Ginn.
  3. One of the more ignorant things I've ever seen posted here. And that's saying a lot.
  4. This x10. Houston has one responsibility, QB pressure. Watt does that as well or better than Houston AND has to defend the run. If I had to choose between Watt and Houston for my team, I'm taking Watt all day. If I had to choose between Watt and Houston + a late 1st round pick, I'm still taking Watt. This is the same argument that I use to say that Hardy is one of, if not THE, best 4-3 DE in the league. He's not a 1 trick pony. He does it all, QB pressure, run stopping, drops back into coverage on occasion, played gunner on STs at times. There are few players in the NFL as versatile as Hardy, and not just ABLE to do lots of things, he does them all very well (except maybe the coverage bit, but he does fine for a DE).
  5. There's so much wrong with this I don't know where to begin. I won't even touch the paranthetical comment, because that would just turn into a back and forth argument that no one can prove. But their game/role are not similar. Cam is asked to BE the offense. Russell Wilson is asked not to get in Lynch's way and toss up a few prayers a game. One is Michael Jordan, the other is Steve Kerr.
  6. Cam + Kuechly > Watt + Wilson by a large margin... and the difference isn't made by the Kuechly vs Watt comparison...
  7. Lol no. Taking Watt in 2011 doesn't guarantee the 1st pick in 2012 so this "we'd have Luck too" business is ridiculous. I wouldn't take that route even if we knew we could get Wilson to be our QB. When you need a QB and a guy like Cam is available you take him. No ifs, ands or buts about it.
  8. He had "the same OL" at the beginning of the season, but that OL sucked. His being a better passer at the beginning of the season is even more of a testament to the point of his thread BECAUSE he was doing it with an even worse OL at the beginning of the season than what he had at the end.
  9. Lol they better trade him. Irvin hasn't been anywhere near good enough to get a contract and playing time that would get Seattle a decent comp pick. Maybe a 5th at best.
  10. He most certainly was, and if he had played all 16 games he would have had a real shot at breaking Moss' rookie WR record. Even with the missed games, I'd call his the second best rookie WR year ever.
  11. I'm 33 and was a Cowboys fan until the age of 12. It's a part of my life I try to forget.
  12. That's pretty much my attitude on it. I like OBJ well enough and I think he's a future superstar, wanted him in the draft last year. But I dislike everything Patriots more than I like OBJ, heh.
  13. The Patriots see the Broncos' two Superbowls acquired through cheating and raise them two more.
  14. First of all, the Falcons don't have a history and culture of cheating. Second of all, the Falcons owned up to the transgression. That's what the punishment is for. If Brady & co. hadn't lied about it they'd have gotten a slap on the wrist too.
  15. I'm not comparing Cam and Wilson. I'm just talking about Wilson. Wilson is a mobile Trent Dilfer. That's it. He is not the crux of that offense. If you wanna talk about Cam, well Cam is a LOT bigger part of his offense than Wilson is. If you wanna lay out percentages and pay Wilson an equivalent percentage to his contribution to the offense and pay Cam the same way, scaling to total pool of money dedicated to the offenses based on team success, Cam is still getting a bigger payday than Wilson. Will it happen that way? I dunno. I don't read tea leaves. I'm pretty confident I won't have a problem with how much they pay Cam within reason because of how much he is relied upon and how much of a difference he made in this team.
  16. Little late to this party, haven't read all 300 posts but I got one word: RICO
  17. Wilson didn't win a Super Bowl, the Seahawks did. This ain't tennis. But if you're going to say Wilson personally won a Super Bowl you also gotta say he personally lost one too. Sounds like it evens out.
  18. The whole "QBs are solely responsible for a football team's success" is probably the greatest myth in sports history.
  19. Another gold digger. I knew the Hardy case and others like it would be open season on football players.
  20. Addison and Horton are garbage - average backups at best - and if they're starting again like they did to begin last year our defense is going to be bottom third of the league again like last year.
  21. I'm worried. The success of our defense is predicated on pressure from our DEs. CJ is proven but declining, whether it be from injuries, age, or simply not having Hardy across from him, he didn't look as good last year. The "late season success" people like to mention seemed a lot more of a result of the poor competition to me. I hope Ealy and Alexander can make large strides this year, but it's far from certain. If they are the same or only marginally better we're in for a rough year. I have absolutely zero expectations of Horton or Addison, they're average backups at best. IF Ealy and Alexander step up their game, I think we're alright barring injuries. Otherwise, it's going to be another middle of the pack year for us defensively.
  22. To me: 1st. D 2nd. C 4th. A 5thA. F 5thB. B Average out to a C. I sure hope I'm wrong about the first two picks. Wouldn't be the first time.
