  1. I like Wilson a lot, the next QB on the list isn’t even close to him....but Lawrence is above him.
  2. Also, the way I saw it, Rivera and Fox were basically the same coach except all of Fox’s flaws were more exaggerated in Rivera. The stubbornness and unwillingness to adapt especially.
  3. Rivera had a transcendent QB. Fox had Jake. I do agree W-L is more on the coach than any other individual involved in a team (I despise attributing wins to QBs) but in this case Rivera had a cheat code.
  4. You’re not wrong. But there has to be some line. I’d probably be better with giving four 1sts than three and cmc
  5. Or at least not count plays where the pass goes 5 yards and DJ Moore takes it 50.
  6. I’m swinging for the fences here: he was more frustrating to watch than Ron Rivera’s coaching.
  7. Bridgewater was more frustrating to watch than Byron Bell playing LT and Haruki Nakamura playing S combined. Worse than 2009 Jake. Worse than Lagadu Naane.
  8. I said it before, I wouldn’t call him the worst QB we’ve ever had but he’s my least favorite. Watching him aggravated me more than any other player ever.
  9. Yea, air yards was separated out into “even more passing stats”
  10. It seems they are judging off passing plays that went for big yards, not deep passes
  11. Throw in Shaq and I could get behind that deal.
  12. A) CMC isn’t just a rb B) there’s no way of knowing if this year was going to be the new norm for him. We paid him early precisely so by the end of his second contract would be when he carries start catching up with him, not at the beginning of his second contract. And if we had waited and gave him a second contract a year or two later it would have been even bigger due to contract inflation C) I’m not completely against trading CMC, but not along with three 1sts. If we were to trade CMC for picks we’d easily get more than a 1st. Maybe two. Four or five firsts value is a bit too much. I’m all for going big for Watson but not THAT gd big
  13. In what world is losing the best offensive weapon in the league a favor?
  14. Tapped the link just out of curiousity why it would have “come out” in tb, glad I did so I could pie the post. Good on you @Verge
  15. Hah I never venture into the TB. I can’t stand enough people already without knowing which ones are unrepentant bigoted racists and other nonsense
  16. My bad. Unless they have some specification in their name like ladypanther or mr scot I have no idea what people around here are heh
  17. Verge’s info is usually good. His record is good enough for me to believe that when it isn’t good it’s not on him but on his source.
  18. Three 1sts and CMC is too much, imo. Three 1sts? Ok. Two 1sts and two defensive starters like Shaq and Boston? Ok. A 1st, a 2nd and CMC? I think I’d be ok with that.
  19. This is David Newton. It’s not a report or an update, it’s poo thrown against a wall.
  20. Star was more critical to a good dline. Short got the stats but Star was the better player. Not everyone said they were glad we signed Short over Star. The loss of Star was the beginning of the end of our top tier defense.
  21. I’d say 3rd, behind Jenkins and Star. Agreed on well wishes though. He got too much hate for being injured. Seemed like a good dude and good teammate. Hope he doesn’t have to settle for Washington.
  22. Panthers might have been giving calls about a Bridgewater. Not receiving
  23. In this rebuild, “in the hunt” in year two, year one of the new QB will be good enough. Different from the RivEra because we’ll still be trending up. Rivera never grew or got any better.
