Official WFT at Carolina Panthers GameDay Thread!
JawnyBlaze replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Our defense just isn’t cutting it today. Getting walked all over by the freaking WFT. There’s no excuses for this, the “always on the field” go-to doesn’t work today. -

How does this Cb situation play out going foward?
JawnyBlaze replied to WOW!!'s topic in Carolina Panthers
I like DJax but as others have said he’ll probably want more money than he’s worth to us with all our talent at CB. He’s young and very good, which means he’s going to get the highest CB money ever. I’d rather our cap money go to Reddick, Moore, and signing OL (and Gilmore if he can be had for less). -
Well whatever was the source of your memory is, it’s wrong. Cam has never shied away from contact or made “business decisions”. One could argue he made the wrong decision in that case and at least that’s debatable, but he wasn’t going to get there before the defender anyway. His strategy would have worked if the ball came out like it often does.
-
And the sequence of events backed up his side of the story. He didn’t just meander out of the play like Teddy did. He hopped back and as soon as he saw it didn’t come out, he went down to try to get it
-
He said so himself after the game. He was playing the ball as if it was going to squirt out because he had no shot at the angle he was at to get to it first. You’re just remembering the media narrative that pushed the “didn’t dive on the ball” story because Cam has to be the villain.

2 Things I saw that seemed to go unnoticed.
JawnyBlaze replied to iamhubby1's topic in Carolina Panthers
Agreed, and it’s not like the ball died in the air, it’s just a matter of getting the timing and judgement right, and that’ll just take practice. That one throw, his first deep ball in a live game in at least 10 months, wasn’t overthrown by 5 yards like every single one of darnolds or flopping and quacking all the way through the air and forcing the receiver to stop and come back to it like every single one of teddy’s. Best deep pass we’ve had in two+ years. -
Not really. Cam didn’t make a business decision, he saw what was going on and knew he wouldn’t be first so he looked for it to squirt out. Already had defenders crashing on it before he had a shot. Cam woulda suplexed Slay
-
Yep, that’s Teddy alright. All he had to do was hip check him or something, he ran right by him. Shove him, something. Didn’t even need to make a risky tackle. Born loser.

Cam and Gonzalez

Just saw this on Facebook and came to make sure it was already here. So awesome, I would rather have these guys than Kenny Albert and Vilma any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

Cam is such a leader he makes the defense play better too. We lost so much more than on field production when they made the stupid decision to cut him. -
Still have a big game Sunday...what are the keys?
JawnyBlaze replied to TheMaulClaw's topic in Carolina Panthers
Thought I heard Murray might miss the game cuz of some injury -
I almost died. That was one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen in my life. My family legit wondered if I was having a heart attack or something lol

But Joe Brady is still the offensive coordinator
JawnyBlaze replied to ENCPantherfan2's topic in Carolina Panthers
The 2015 line has nothing on the 08 line and the years around that. Not even close to the best we’ve ever had. And if some metric rates them top 5 in the league that year, that’s highly suspect. They were middle of the pack at best. Our guards were good but Remmers was one of the worst in the league, Oher was subpar and Kalil was a shell of himself. -
But Joe Brady is still the offensive coordinator
JawnyBlaze replied to ENCPantherfan2's topic in Carolina Panthers
Our offense isn’t going to all of a sudden look great, Cam did drag Shula and Rivera kicking and screaming to the super bowl behind a line almost as bad and much much worse weapons around him. But that was pre-headhunted Cam. I’m just happy Cam is back and all is right with the world again. 2021 Cam has a slightly better HC, slightly better OC, slightly worse oline, much better weapons and much worse shoulder. -
I’m dying. That’s brilliant
