This is one of the most ridiculous things I’ve seen in the NFL in a while.

He’s had one year and one game. Way too early.

Just one observation, the Browns have always been a running team. They didn’t pass that much anyway and their WRs aren’t some top tier unit that was underutilized because of the downgrade, the “backup QB” effect was minimal. It’s not like we’re talking about the Chiefs minus Mahommes, the Browns with their backup QB is still 99% of the Browns. We looked like poo for half the game, looked pretty good for half the game. The run defense tightened up a bit (still not good enough though), but it was game one. Baker didn’t even get the full training camp as the #1 so he’s already behind the curve on a new team. Second half Baker was very good. The only thing I see on this team that isn’t likely to improve is the HC, and that’s just a cross we’ll have to bear for now. But the rest of the team was encouraging, even the OL. We won’t see another DL like that except once this year, against the Rams.

Well I’m optimistic. Refs gave them that game with like 25 free yards at the end of the game

That predicts we’re the 8th most likely team to get a wildcard spot. Tied with the Bears…

7-10 wins. 7 if CMC goes down for significant time again. We should have better QB play and a better line theoretically, so we should improve over the 5 we’ve been getting without CMC. 10 if CMC stays healthy and Baker is pretty good and the line is solid.

Burris is a bit of a surprise. He was solid last year. A little surprised at Kenny Robinson too, I know he didn’t have a great game in one of the preseason games, but I didn’t think he’d get cut. Hope Barnes makes it to the PS, not that I expect he’s some hot commodity, but we did spend a draft pick on him a few months ago.

OL health/depth Run stopping CMC health Other than Rhule those are the only impediments to a successful season imo.

Had to go out, missed the end. Just saw we got a fg on the last drive to win. I’m more happy about crushing the soul of that Doc guy than I am about winning a preseason game.

I mean, Corral was looking off the defenders, didn’t look at Kirkwood til right as he threw it. That was the play, it was a hospital ball but wasn’t much else Corral could do but throw it away. Maybe he should have

These new receivers and Shi Smith have impressed me most this game. Smith and Higgins early in the game, Wright, a couple TEs, guys are looking solid out there.

Whoever this guy announcing with Kenny Albert is, he’s terrible. Absolutely awful and annoying as hell

You compared it to “sources” predictions, so you implied it. And they set the line based on how they expect fans to bet, which they do based on their own expectations.

Vegas isn’t making a prediction, they’re setting a line based on average fans’ expectations. Big difference.

No. That’s ludicrous. He’s not a flashy position. Same way Star was under appreciated Brown is now being under appreciated. He’s not as good as Star, but it’s the same lack of understanding that causes people to poo on him. He’s solid, still young, plenty of time to get even better.

So weeks 1 and 5 are a tough matchup
