It’s not the talent per se, it’s the combination of talent, physicality, athleticism and heart. That was rare. Highly unlikely there will be another Cam. There might be someone who has some of his traits, but not all of them. For example you could say Hurts has some of Cam’s talent and all of his athleticism, but he doesn’t have his physicality as the team’s goal line battering ram. Josh Allen might be the closest but he’s still lacking Cam’s physicality and possibly that intangible … if you don’t wanna call it heart, call it killer instinct or something.

This OP speaks only for himself.

Not if we have to trade for him.

Sign one and draft one in the second.

S2 Cognitive test points to NFL Success
JawnyBlaze replied to Ricky Spanish's topic in Carolina Panthers
Interesting. -
Good data. I wouldn’t have guessed he was statistically better than Stafford, especially considering he’s had worse weapons by a fair margin over the course of those 9 years. Coaching I’d say is about equally bad.

NFL.com ranks Carolina 2022 draft class as worst in NFC South

Eh, we’ll see. Icky was a slam dunk, it was a great draft for him alone. Other than Corral the others still have a good shot at developing into good players. I only say not Corral because we’re obviously going after someone else this year and he won’t get much opportunity. -
Saw this earlier. Crazy. Never liked the dude

Todd McShay seems to really like Anthony Richardson
JawnyBlaze replied to Dorian Gray's topic in Carolina Panthers
My top choice is trading up for Stroud. But if I’m picking between Richardson and Levis at 9, at this point I’m probably picking Richardson. Levis hasn’t shown me anything overly impressive in the many videos I’ve watched of him. Richardson at least has actual strengths you can build around beyond size and arm strength. And they’re both equally inaccurate, so if I’m working around that anyway I’d rather have Richardson. -
Do we have the personnel to Run a 3-4?
JawnyBlaze replied to bLACKpANTHER's topic in Carolina Panthers
I chose A, but Barno could take that other starting OLB spot from Haynes. We’re pretty close to good with what we have, could use a replacement for YGM at DE and probably a ILB or two, but otherwise we’re pretty good. -
I think we’re going to need to lock up Burns before the season starts…going to be easier after a 12.5 sack season than a 17+ sack season

Yea, just gotta pay attention to when he does have to deal with pressure. His OL wasn’t elite, neither was his RB. His receiver was but he wasn’t always open, he was a guy that could catch everything not get open every time. Watch the games (not the highlight reels), Stroud was putting the ball in the perfect place almost every time whether the receiver was open or not. I think he’s a lot more polished than Young but what Young has that Stroud doesn’t is the ability to scramble around like Russell Wilson to extend plays.
-
Yea I believe they would because I’m not just going off stats, I’m watching every throw, every decision, every play I can find. Their stats and wins might not be as impressive at a worse school but what you see them do on tape and videos would be. The school and talent around then only affects the assessment if all you’re doing is looking at stats and wins. No one on his team is helping Stroud throw perfect passes with pinpoint accuracy. It helps the stat sheet when he has great receivers who catch those passes, but if you watch the plays you can see them do things that the others can’t.

I mean, he was a legit leading candidate for MVP that year and if the Eagles had not traded up and got him they wouldn’t have won their first ever Super Bowl. So I think they’d say it was worth it.

If Chicago stays at 1, then I’d be ok just moving up to 3 even though I really prefer Stroud to Young. That might save us a 1st, or at least a 2nd to potentially get Young instead of Stroud. But if it’s looking like Chicago will trade to another team taking a QB, that team needs to be us. The gap between Stroud/Young and Richardson/Levis is huge imo

Half of that 60% were pretty good at one point. A third of that 60% helped get their team to the Super Bowl

Panthers met with Hooker per report
JawnyBlaze replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
“his accuracy — orlack thereof — is borderline untenable at this point.” that’s why I don’t understand why people are so high on Levis. Accuracy is kind of important and hard to improve. And I don’t mean “completion %”, that’s fake accuracy. Levis doesn’t have good placement and throws it all over the place sometimes. But hey, hopefully one of those top few teams feels otherwise and drafts Levis high. “Tools” don’t take you very far if you don’t know how to use them. -

Your eyeballs. Watch them play. Stats lie. -
Barno, that’s the guy I forgot his name. Yea I think both of them could work really well at OLB opposite Burns.

Good point, I totally forgot about him. He’s a beast and definitely physical enough for it
