  1. I think it’s smoke and mirrors to try to hustle a 2nd or 3rd out of Houston. It’s going to be Stroud, he shown all year he was the best passer. I wouldn’t be mad about Young since he’s really good too, but even putting aside the size concerns Stroud is better at getting the football to his receivers.
  2. Of course they are. The choice is clear. It’s Stroud Young Richardson wildcat formation all year Levis Hooker
  3. I don’t think it would happen, but it’s possible. We don’t have to tell the Texans who we’d take at 1. They’ve already planted the seed of doubt saying there’s two we’re interested in and might be willing to move back down. The way it would work is Texans, not know which we’re taking, have a preference. They ask Carolina what it would take to move up to one. Just for this example let’s say it’s a third. Carolina asks who they’d take at one and if it’s not their guy, they take the deal. To the Texans, it’s worth it cuz they’re just giving up a third to ensure they get their guy because there’s a chance Carolina, while being ok with either of the top two like they said, end up taking the one the Texans preferred.
  4. Yep this way we still have a first and second this year, still have a second next year and still have a first the following year. The way this was structure prevents us from being crippled in any future draft
  5. That’s how it works. When a team trades down, the other team tells them who they’re going to take. The first team doesn’t trade down if the partner is targeting their player. The second team still drafts that player because if they don’t, they’re branded as liars and other GMs won’t trade with them in the future if they can’t trust who they’re doing business with. That’s just how it all works.
  6. I think it’ll be both. Some good but old WRs in FA, take one as a stopgap. TE with 39, maybe a WR in the third.
  7. The Texans would have to tell Carolina who they’re taking if they swap. No way Carolina would ever do it blind.
  8. That’s always a risk when making trades, I’m pretty sure lying in this situation would get you a scarlet letter and no one would trade with you ever again because you couldn’t be trusted.
  9. Stroud is definitely a better pure passer than Young, only advantage Young has over Stroud is scrambling and running around in the backfield. He’s still really good but Stroud is an incredible passer
  10. Gotta be Stroud. Outside chance it’s Young, but no way they trade all the way to 1 for Richardson and DEFINITELY not for Levis.
  11. Two firsts, two seconds and DJ. So that means DJ was valued at a first round pick. Hate losing him, but solid value.
  12. Stroud. Next year and the following years firsts will probably be even later anyway.
  13. I mean, it cost them what it cost them. They’d still have their picks plus the comp picks if they didn’t trade for him. It was a good deal for all involved
  14. I don’t like him because I watched all the throws available to see. It doesn’t matter who is around him if you look beyond stats. He looks uncomfortable in his offense, he misses throws, I’ve said it before: tools are great but if you don’t know how to use them it doesn’t matter what tools you have. He’s really inaccurate, his throws aren’t in stride, on time, and setting his receivers up for success. Stroud and Young are light years ahead of him. Richardson is on the same level, might just a hair behind him, in this regard but the reason many are more comfortable with Richardson is because the upside outweighs the negatives. He’s such an athletic freak that he can rely on that while he learns the other part of QBing. Levis is athletic but not like Richardson, and what I see in Levis is someone that will be not get it in time to continue having the opportunity to play. And I loved Allen, he was my QB1 in that draft. People just have to learn to look beyond stats and actually watch them play. Then you can see past “who they play with” or “what team they play for” and recognize their individual pros and cons.
  15. Around 50 minutes they talk about when Harper hit Smitty late in the end zone. That’s a really interesting discussion
  16. Around 46 minutes they start talking about Mike Shula lol. They haven’t said anything too inflammatory yet, I haven’t finished that part, but you can definitely tell that the fans aren’t the only ones that thought Shula was terrible. Smitty says he really likes Shula as a person but on game day when he’d be calling bad plays that all went out the window lol
  17. We might as well see what ol Teddy Trashwater is up to if we’re thinking about Jimmy G
  18. Absolutely. Him, Kincaid or Mayer would be great
