  1. Bonnefon had some really good runs. If he could just get those balance problems under control he could be a legit RB2 in my opinion. He does lose balance way too easily though.
  2. My money is on Roy, who look really good in limited play last year; Franklin, ditto; Bonnefon, in the unlikely scenario CMC is traded I see Bonnefon as the backup and taking on a lot more snaps as the year goes on and Davis starts slowing down (if last year is any indicator); and Miller, who is entering his second season and looked good at times his rookie year.
  3. I’m fine with that, trade up if need be but we gotta get our guy. Leaves some cap space open for FA. Either way comes with risk and cost. As long as we don’t sit on our ass and settle for scraps.
  4. Glad it’s Mel Kiper and not someone who should be taken seriously. This just about guarantees we won’t take Jones.
  5. Yea, I heard that mentioned on nfl xm radio this afternoon. I don’t have much of a problem with it, but Wilson needs a reality check. He’s not a superstar. He’s a very good QB that might not be so good elsewhere.
  6. Nah, I’d rather spend picks on trading up to 2 or 3 than trading for this diva that’s at or past the crest of his career. No way Rhule is giving him the power he so desperately craves either.
  7. Definitely had flashes his rookie year. Opting out shouldn’t be a factor, has nothing to do with “love for the game”, that’s stupid. Hope he can come back strong and keep progressing, could really bolster our LB corps
  8. If we get Watson before the decision is made, you can just about guarantee it’ll be us.
  9. If the speculation is true and we’re holding onto him as a potential part of the Watson trade, that’s probably worth the 9th or 10th round pick we might get in a trade for Bridgewater...
  10. Jameis has more talent and ability in his little toe and Bridgewater. I’ll take him and his stupid antics all day over watching another pass thrown by Bridgewater in electric blue. I’d be fine with Jameis as a backup backup option, with our eye on who we’re going to trade up for next year (Howell hopefully). Spend #8 on an OT in that scenario.
  11. That’s what I’m thinking. They are #2 and 3 in the draft. They can get Wilson if you’re the Jets or whichever they like better between Lance or Fields if the Dolphins seriously want to move on from Tua. And the Dolphins at least could get serious draft capital by trading Tua, surely a 2nd at least. Seems like it would be a better return on draft pick investment. Only way I see either of those teams getting in the Watson sweepstakes is if they’re completely underwhelmed by the #2-4 QB prospects, because if they’re relatively confident in one of them it would seem to be a better gamble to just draft that guy.
  12. “Some people took it as disrespectful”. Entirely insincere but whatever. That was the most important day in that kid’s life, but for Cam...it was Tuesday.
  13. Honestly, that trade wouldn’t be too bad. Only two firsts, and it solves the “too much money in WRs to resign Curtis” conundrum. We’d be left without a star RB, but we could resign Samuel this year and DJ next year. Still a very good WR pair. Draft a 3rd or 4th rd RB (or not and let Bonnefon have a shot at the backup gig), keep Davis as a stopgap starting RB.
  14. As long as it’s not Bridgewater and there’s a clear plan. I can’t take another season of Bridgewater.
  15. “QB coach at performance lab California” lol. Obviously thinks he knows a lot more than he does.
  16. “In his mvp season he had funchess, Benjamin and olsen. A bunch of receivers with big wingspans who could bail him out”. This random nobody loses all credibility there. A) he didn’t have Benjamin that year. B) cam had never been regularly bailed out by a receiver in his career. This rando obviously has no clue. He was also highlighting plays where cam intentionally led the guy low, a common tactic to give defenders no play on the ball.
  17. Naaaaah. Maybe two, and that’s a stretch. They’re asking almost the same thing Houston is for Watson, and Watson is a better QB who is also younger.
  18. Not saying his shoulder was 100%, but it wasn’t “done”.
  19. I actually did. And he still threw it better than Bridgewater. With far worse players around him.
  20. I’m pretty sure Cam was referring to the same thing that ended up getting Smitty cut. The locker room was Cam’s, Rhule and Tepper didn’t want the locker room to be Cam’s. So Cam got cut. Not his shoulder, which turned out to be fine, not this mythical demand for a new contract that has never been hinted at or anything by anyone that would actually know. Just locker room politics. Cam is fine with it, I’ll be fine with it as soon as we get an acceptable replacement. But as it stands right now, it was still a mistake. Cam right now and last season was far better than Bridgewater with a more manageable contract.
  21. Lance didn’t make reads in college either. Very rarely.
  22. I’ve said the same thing since I starting researching QBs around week 8 of the season. Trey Lance too. I’m sure it’s 100% because of their systems, but that doesn’t change the fact that we haven’t seen them do it yet. They’re both bigger risks. Wouldn’t be mad if we took either though, assuming Wilson is already gone.
  23. Absolutely not. Restructuring means more commitment, which is the last thing we need for either player.
