  1. Welp, here it is. Surely this is rock fuging bottom, right? I mean, we have Panthers fans giddy that we're rumored to be interested in hiring our archenemy. This would be like UNC hiring Coach K. Fug no. Hell fuging no. Make it stop.
  2. Jesus. So hard up at QB (and such a hard on for Temple) that we're now looking at college backup QBs? Oh wee mayne.
  3. So basically, Fitts just announced that if Corral is starting sooner rather than later then he really fuging sucks because Sam Darnold is terrible.
  4. I mean, when you've had three straight five win seasons what do you expect?
  5. https://www.businessinsider.com/wonderlic-test-can-predict-long-term-success-for-nfl-quarterbacks-2020-4 To quantify NFL success, we considered several measures, including — but not limited to — career passing yards, wins, and games started in the NFL. Of all the variables included in our regression models, only two were significantly and consistently associated with a quarterback's NFL success: whether he was a Heisman Trophy finalist and his Wonderlic score. That's concerning for Corral.
  6. Let's see it. A couple of anecdotal examples isn't a "study".
  7. LT was a lass rushing OLB. Totally different position.
  8. We suck so hard right now that I can't even go back and enjoy the highlights of Cam and Luke. Without the injury factor, both should still be playing great football for a strong contender right now since Luke is only 31 and Cam 32. If you'd told me during the 2015 season that in the summer of '22 Luke would be retired, Cam would be a shell of himself and no longer on the Panthers, JR has been forced to sell the team, and we're in the midst of the worst period of losing football in Panthers history I would've laughed in your face. But... here the fug we are.
  9. It isn't the end all be all, but there's a pretty strong correlation between struggling on the Wonderlic and struggling at QB in the NFL.
  10. Tepper is such a great owner we have to go back to the Panthers before Tepper to draw on successes that weren't Tepper's to attempt to manufacture an argument that Tepper hasn't turned us into a doormat. In the Tepper era, our 22-43 (33.8%) record puts us at 5th worst in the NFL during that time period. Worst in the division. Third worst in the NFC. That's pretty doormat-ish.
  11. Very possible. The only argument against it would be length of career.
  12. At his best, Urlacher is the best I've ever seen. That's to take nothing away from Luke. He was phenomenal and when you go beyond just the individual play and also factor in the "QB of the defense" factor you can easily argue he's the best. Total career, it's Lewis IMO.
  13. Oh, I don't think they're disappointed with Tepper. You think they were begging for someone who would come in and build a football organization that would kick their ass?
  14. Tepper may be a thoroughbred in the world of investing, but he's been a plug mule so far in the world of football.
  15. Ever since he got paid, CMC seems more about that Instagram life than he has been about playing football.
  16. Niners: We don't want to play in San Francisco in September, it's too hot. NFL: LOL! Enjoy Charlotte.
  17. I'm surprised the Ravens' hasn't leaked. When they went to their war room during the first round their entire big board was visible on the white board behind them.
  18. Y'all wouldn't believe how long the list of mods is. Most rarely post these days or have completely moved on.
  19. Y'all gotta report the posts. I don't think any of the mods spend much time at all in this subforum. Report 'em. I ain't reading through 12 pages that I don't care about.
  20. Southern Utah is one of my favorite areas in the continental U.S. but that's like raving about the beauty of the Blue Ridge from Fayetteville.
  21. SLC is kind of a low key poo hole of a city in a beautiful geographical setting... as long as you only look east.
  22. Sunk cost my dude. Tepper should well know that you don't hold onto a bad investment. Except that there's actually zero evidence that investment knowledge has translated to the world of football and plenty to the contrary.
  23. Not at that cap hit. Or anything even remotely close to it.
