    Dean and Roy always went deep into the bench and pushed the pace because they understood they just had more talent than most other team. More possessions favors their team. Hubert only wants to play five and wants to slow the game down... while not coaching defense. Like WTF???

    I think he might understand that he just can't develop players so he rides and dies with his starters. That's a terrifying thought but I can't think of anything else. I honestly just don't really see any signs of actual coaching.

    He was under contract. Heading into FA it was the KEY year of his contract. If he milked it down the stretch expecting to get paid that was a serious miscalculation. CMC was iron man prior to getting paid. That's how you do it. Gotta get that bag first. Then you can milk it.

    Honestly, I hope he's right. I hope there are three QBs we'd love to have. That means we can go to #3 instead of #1. It still won't be cheap but hopefully considerably cheaper than #1.

    I could see Brissett keeping the seat warm for Hooker if a trade up scenario doesn't materialize. That would be an extremely uninspiring scenario.

    He has elite NFL arm talent. No doubt about it. If you give me the choice between Justin Fields and say Will Levis I'm taking Justin Fields all day everyday no hesitation. Seems pretty obvious at this point that the Bears choose Fields over the entire '23 draft class field.

    The big difference with the CMC comparison is that the Niners were trading for a player with an existing contract AND we were eating all the guaranteed money. They can release CMC at any given time with no cap repercussions.
