  1. I think the Mayfield/Browns bridge is thoroughly burned. I'd be surprised if the Browns haven't also been expecting this outcome with Watson. The Panthers extremely inadvertently dodged a massive bullet. I expect the Browns to just roll with Brissett as their starter this year and I'm sure he'd be thrilled with the opportunity.
  2. How many times have you been banned?
  3. Ours is a shade under $1500 but we put 20% down. I would've put more but with rates so low why bother? I'd rather have the extra liquidity. On our first house in CO I think we paid about three months of PMI on a 3% down mortgage. We pretty much immediately got it reappraised and refinanced dropping PMI and getting a better rate. Shaved off about $300 a month.
  4. Yeah, you can't try desperately for a year to trade for "Ole Rub 'n Tug" then act like you care about doing due diligence on a player's character.
  5. I was just doing the math on the house I bought just 13 months ago. With just the rate increase my mortgage would be 60% higher today. With the rate increase and the likely 20% more I could currently get for it my mortgage would be about 125% higher. Oh wee mayne.
  6. You don't earn three straight five win seasons by making smart decisions. They're desperate to save their jobs. They're not going to rely son Sam Darnold and a 3rd round rookie to do it.
  7. I'd just feel a lot better if Rhule would defer to the OL coach on the specific lineup. It seems like he defers almost completely to Snow in terms of the defensive lineup. Do the same elsewhere. Don't fuging micromanage everything. You hired these guys to do a job. Let them do their job. If you don't think an OL coach is capable of determining the appropriate lineup then he probably shouldn't be your OL coach.
  8. We might trade for Mayfield today. Unless we don't, in which case we might trade for Mayfield tomorrow or some other day.
  9. 6'4", 34" arms. Prototypical OG.
  10. He's from Pittsburgh. He just acts like he's from Jersey.
  11. Not gonna lie, pretty cool helmet. I don't really care about anything other than our performance on the field right now. We can go out there wearing uniforms that look straight out of Pop Warner for all I care. I just want to see the Panthers playing competitive football again.
  12. Says the guy whose shtick sucks so bad that he gave up his old screen name to try to start over. Hi there @Moo Daeng!
  13. Based on this brainiac crew... well, it wouldn't be shocking.
  14. This. We're eating Sam's cap hit no matter what. If we get the Browns to eat a good chunk of Mayfield's salary and it costs us a mid-rounder to kick the tires on a former #1 overall pick who a couple of years ago looked like an up and coming elite young QB then do it. God knows the Panthers have pissed away mid-round picks and/or a few mil in cap space on a helluva lot worse investments than that.
  15. Nope. It definitely doesn't. I think the lesson to learn here is that by and large it's mouth breathing morons who keep talk radio afloat.
  16. Of all the coaches of the Rhule era, Brady will have the best future.
  17. Hat's off to him for making a living but it's basically "Jersey Shore Sports Talk". It doesn't speak highly of you if you're a regular listener. Just sayin'.
  18. Wasn't he last year too? Rhule needs to actually fuging play him in games that count.
  19. The Browns hold the upper hand here. Darnold is 100% a liability. A negative asset. There's zero doubt about that. The Browns can always sit tight and wait for a potential QB injury that could change the market. We're still gonna have trash Darnold and a 3rd round rookie that we're obviously not planning to play early. If the Panthers want to make this happen, they're just going to have to swallow the bitter pill that they're going to have to eat that Darnold cap hit. Which is exactly what I said would happen when we idiotically picked up that option to double down on the idiocy of trading for him.
  20. I've always thought that getting them to take Darnold was a pipe dream
  21. It's not just QB. Look at LT after Gross. WR after Smitty. CB after Norman. OG after Norwell and Turner. DT after Jenkins. Anytime we lose good players we flail at that position for years. When you draft poorly for years you probably have significant holes and virtually no depth.
  22. It dropped a few minutes ago. It's 75 points. The DJIA is up 450 points. It almost seems like the market is breathing a sigh of relief that they didn't go 100.
  23. I honestly think at least 50 points is already priced in. Maybe more like 62.5 since a lot of people are expecting 75. I expect 75. I think the Fed actually wants to do 100 but they realize that'd be the equivalent of yanking the e-brake on the home stretch of the Daytona 500. Yeah, it's a cold water fire hose on inflation but it's also gonna cause a fiery pileup of a crash.
