  1. Wait until they actually see Pickett.
  2. Basically whichever QB gets the offense to play best will be the starting QB. Makes sense to me. With that said... it's gonna be Baker. Everyone knows it's gonna be Baker.
  3. I'm not worried about a veteran player getting his knee scoped in the off-season.
  4. I think the staff probably had him focusing primarily on improving his pass rushing abilities. IMO, we just need to let him be him. Kris Jenkins never got more than 7 sacks on a season. During our '03 SB season he was a 1st team All-Pro with 5 sacks. These types of DTs are never going to put up huge sack numbers but they eat up double teams and blow up the opposing interior OL. Just let Derrick Brown do that.
  5. No. He had a promising rookie season then a down sophomore season. That's not a bust. Not yet. Anyone expecting Brown to be Aaron Donald didn't have realistic expectations. That's not the type of player he is. I've always said that the best version of Derrick Brown is basically a clone of prime Kris Jenkins.
  6. I'd prefer we pass. Dude was a beast but injuries have taken their toll.
  7. They were my #1 and #2 QBs in this draft.
  8. I mean, I can see the potential for our secondary to be our best unit but on paper right now? Yeah, it's RB and it's not even close.
  9. CMC is the best all around RB in the league when healthy and we have two very capable backups. RB is EASILY our best position group.
  10. Past draft status has (or at least should) have zero impact on current value. I say "should" because I absolutely think we got hoodwinked into trading significantly too much for Darnold because he was a former #3 overall pick. Robby is still a fairly young WR with proven past production and legit field stretching capability. If I'm a WR needy team I'd be willing to trade a mid-late rounder for him and hope that last year's down performance was an anomaly and largely due to being in a poo show of a situation.
  11. Would love to see TMJ emerge in camp making Robbie expendable. We could use some more draft capital. Surely someone would send us a mid-late rounder for him.
  12. I disagree with them on our overall roster minus QB. I honestly think we're pretty strong there.
  13. These aren't janitors walking out the door on a monthly basis. It's the top people on the organization.
  14. If Tepper Sports was publicly traded it's stock would be in free fall right now.
  15. Seems like no one wants to work for Tepper on the business side in his sports ventures.
  16. Opposing fans and empty seats at BOA will surely appreciate that Panthers logo at midfield and those black helmets if we continue getting our teeth kicked in on the field.
  17. Logo at midfield and black helmets. Looks like Tepper has run through his low hanging fruit now. Time to actually win some football games.
  18. I've been begging for a legit FS for years but no. We're already pretty strapped on draft pick capital and I don't want this staff trading anymore future capital. They need to stink or swim with what they can muster up without further mortgaging our future.
  19. Honestly, I'd let Sam know he's competing for a roster spot. I'd carry a third QB to keep Corral as a third round rookie but I wouldn't carry a third QB to carry Darnold if he loses the primary backup spot to Corral. Yeah, there's no cap savings in releasing Darnold but roster spots are roster spots. I wouldn't keep Darnold simply because there's no cap savings in releasing him if Corral is ready to be the backup.
  20. It's on Matt Rhule IMO. If we had a coach I'd expect this roster to contend for a playoff berth.
  21. I honestly don't know why players continue to grant interviews to professional trolls. Fug 'em. You don't need that type of publicity anyway. I'd blow them off. Yeah, they're going to formulate their narrative around that and paint me in a bad light but like I said, fug 'em. I wouldn't care.
  22. How many times did that actually happen though? He has 56 career INTs. How many are directly attributable to him? Let's say 75%. That's 42. So for argument's sake, let's say he has 42 career INTs that are directly his fault via a boneheaded decision or flat out bad throw. Of those 42, how many do you think came directly after berating an OL for missing a block? Seems most likely to me that situation was probably a one off.
