Honestly, he was every bit as bad as Rhule. They were running it at will and for some insane reason chose to lean on Brissett down the stretch and it nearly cost them the game.
-
The Arizona Cardinals would like to thank the former Chiefs' receivers who ran their mouth acting like Mahomes wasn't all that and the media constantly reminding Mahomes of that. He's 28/36 for 336 yards and 5 TDs and the 4th quarter has barely even started. Yeah, he's all that.

Holy poo.

Rhule would actually be a nice land for Nebraska. Man, they've fallen HARD.

Minimally. Shrugging my shoulders and chuckling losing on a long last second FG after a terrible call and a terrible no call went against us confirmed it. If I gave any fugs I would've been LIVID.

Think Snow will defend his run D after today?
LinvilleGorge replied to LinvilleGorge's topic in Carolina Panthers
Things might have been different with Saban had they signed Drew Brees like he wanted. He pretty just said fug this and went back to college where he can run the full show after that. What's shocking is that Matt Rhule was able to get that type of control right out of the gate despite having close to zero NFL experience. Tepper really showed how green he was as an owner on that one. -
Yeah, the Cardinals and the Packers getting blasted is pretty surprising.

I think we should be prepared to let burns walk

Brian Burns and Jeremy Chinn are the only two defensive players on this roster who would be highly sought after if we made them available via trade. Consider that. -

And not even a good high level coach. A coach that turned around a low level and a mid-level program but never actually beat any teams that were good. -

I think he realizes his goose is cooked. Word was that he had his agent sniffing around the top college jobs last year in anticipation of the firing that never came. At this point, I think maintaining his relationship with Snow for his next job would take priority over trying to save his already badly burned hide here. -

Will Tepper pull the cord on this fraud mid season?

I think he'll probably be fired late in the season like Rivera was. I just hope we make better use of that head start in the search process this time. -

Think Snow will defend his run D after today?

This would've been the 2nd most rushing yards and the 2nd highest yards per carry that we gave up last year when we had a D built to rush the passer with stopping the run a complete afterthought. We focused on building a defensive roster that could better stop the run and this was the result. -

It did. It has seemingly led to a D that can neither stop the run nor rush the passer. -

Zero chance IMO. Phil Snow has been the constant on Rhule's staffs and his college teams were driven by good D and serviceable offense. He'll need Snow at his next college stop once he gets canned here. -

It was just pretty eye opening watching how badly this D struggled to stop the run when we sacrificed so much on pass rush ability to get better at stopping the run. Today we struggled to do both. That's not good. Looks to me like a D that is going to get absolutely eaten up by teams with decent QBs. They got bailed out today facing a backup QB. -
39 carries for 217 yards for 5.6ypc and a TD on the ground. That's awful in both yards and average per carry and would've likely been even worse had the Browns not seemed to have forgotten late that they were running at will and chose to bafflingly rely on Brissett to make plays.

Richardson's hype train crashed and burned HARD yesterday. Oh wee mayne. Like Cam Newton but a better passer they said... -
Yeah, Rhule and company have given us so much reason to bank on them improving.
-
You're expecting a Matt Rhule team to improve over the course of the season? That hasn't been what we've seen his first two seasons. We've played our best football in the first third of the season, then absolutely faceplanted in the final two thirds of the season.
-
Like most of our other personnel moves of late. You don't have three straight five win season by making good decisions.
-
If Brissett was actually hitting those open receivers early on that game is out of hand by halftime. Then their play calling was just absolutely baffling late. They were just the less bad team on the field today but I think we watched two bad teams playing today.
