How could we not give Fitt another chance?!?
LinvilleGorge replied to DMathematics's topic in Carolina Panthers
That honestly doesn't surprise me. The guy seems fake as fug. Though I should add that I know some guys who went to HS with Russell Wilson and they all say his "act" is legit. So if he's fake, he's really good at it and has been at it since HS. -

I have to think he's hurt or something. It's not just that he's playing bad, he physically looks like an entirely different player in terms of his skill set. -

Yeah, watching Russell Wilson turn into Baker Mayfield in Denver has been a stunning development. -

My BS? I've put everything out there for everyone to see. Enough derailing today. See ya tomorrow. -

Since you want this to play out publicly, fine. But you are definitely playing the victim here when you're far from innocent. And no one threatened you with a permanent ban, simply a vacation if you can't stop with the personal attacks. We usually start with 24 hours. Criticize Scott Fitterer and the team all you want. Just don't use personal attacks toward other posters while you're doing it. These were the two warnings you were given. -
The thought of the scene that must have unfolded will never not be hilarious to me. Marty voraciously shoving meatballs into his face hole as Matt Rhule gives some bullshit high school motivational speaker speech about his "process" while Tepper sits there grinning like an idiot watching the whole sad scene play out like a proud papa.

Because he thought he was after than the football people. My concern is that he very well may still hold that belief. Yeah, he badly fuged up, but he's learned now and he's way too smart not to get it right this time.

Oh, he desperately wants to be publicly adored. He was all out and about soaking it up when he first took control. He didn't fade into the background until it was far more vitriol from the fans than adoration. He'll be back out there if we can ever win a few games.

We might be dealing with a more lucid version of late stage Al Davis.

Oh, I'm definitely keeping Burns. I think he's scheme versatile. He can be a 3-4 OLB or a 4-3 DE.

He sounded that way when he was sticking to the script. The longer he went and the more frustrated he got the more he seemed like the same old cocky asshole.

I'm far from convinced that David Tepper himself isn't the Panthers' biggest problem.

Lots of NFL flops have Heismans.

Yikes. I knew he was older but I didn't realize he was typical 2nd NFL contract old. A literal man amongst boys. No thanks on Weinke/Weeden 2.0.

I haven't even started looking at candidates. I honestly thought we were probably at least two months away from actually firing Matt Rhule.

Wilks is a cover three guy. He likes his CBs playing off the line in soft zone and reading the QB to maximize opportunities for INTs. The problem is that we have a bunch of man cover CBs. Like McAdoo, Wilks was never a fit for our talent and was just a resumé hire for Rhule to show Tepper he can get real NFL coaches to work for him. Henderson is trash and the Jags figured that out very quickly and got what they could get and moved on.

Hopefully Darnold can heal up and get back out there. Just so folks can be reminded of how dreadful he is too.

I can't see anyone getting off their couch to try to salvage this offense.

The Panthers' organization has always thought much higher of Shaq Thompson than anyone else has. That's been a very good thing for Shaq's bank account but it hasn't done much for us on the field. He's a JAG who's paid like a future HOFer. Shaq's only problem is his contract. If he was paid like a decent starting LB he would be an asset. But his contract is a liability.
