  1. If Richardson is there, roll the dice. If he isn't, I wouldn't hate this. But at some point we have to take that leap. We can't keep always pushing it off to next year.
  2. I really like the top TEs in this draft. You have Mayer who is an elite prospect by any measure. Then there's Washington who has all-world potential but not a ton of production. Kincaid is a really good prospect and might be the #1 TE available in some draft. Luke Musgrave isn't far behind them.
  3. It was crazy. I said he was a 3rd round prospect. I thought the same about Pickett. I thought both projected as high end backup/marginal starters at best. Basically you're really happy to have them as a backup but if they're starting for you, you need a QB.
  4. Yep. He doesn't have the traits wow factor so showing he can translate to a higher level in the college game would bode well for him. Recently guys like Kenny Pickett and Mac Jones have gone in the 1st round despite having marginal at best NFL talent simply because they put up big time stats against high level college competition.
  5. So just stay at Coastal Carolina then. He'll face more future NFL competition in a P5 conference. It's really just that simple.
  6. There's a handful of folks who have been banned over and over again. They never change.
  7. The Bucs are basically us. The only difference is that they actually capitalized on their two shots.
  8. I haven't watched a full game in months. Meanwhile, you're wasting your time following me around on this forum being mad and that's genuinely hilarious.
  9. Sad. He was a true innovator of the game. Leach was on of the guys who built the foundation of the modern college offense and the modern NFL offense looks a lot more like a college offense than the standard "pro style offense" of yesteryear.
  10. Imagine being personally affected by a stranger's differing opinion on sports on the internet, then calling that person a crybaby. Nice self own, buddy.
  11. I honestly think it's fool's gold. We've beaten the Falcons (terrible). The Broncos (terrible). The Ravens (reeling, 1-3 over their last 4). The Seahawks (reeling, 2-3 over their past five with all three losses being to teams with losing records). Even with our offensive game plan entirely built around decreasing Sam Darnold's ability to lose games for us, that multiple turnover game is coming. We all know it.
  12. I'm pretty much all in on Anthony Richardson at this point. Go big or go home. Take a swing on the boom or bust guy with the highest ceiling in the draft. Yeah, he very well may bust. If he does, swing again. But when you're mired in mediocrity you have to take chances. Taking a "safe" QB is just asking for more perpetual mediocrity. Stroud and Young are going to be out of reach. Hell, depending on the interview process Richardson very well may be too.
  13. If we're being honest that's basically a drop that lucked into a catch.
  14. WF flirted with the top 10 at one point this season and they're an offense driven team. I don't envision the Alabamas and Clemsons and Ohio States calling. It would give him an opportunity to put film on tape against much better competition.
  15. I'll never forget that Broncos LB in the post-game talking about that. He wasn't even gleeful about it. He was legit baffled. Borderline stunned. What he'd just experienced in the biggest game of his career was absolutely unbelievable to him based on his experience playing in the NFL. Just flat out embarrassing.
  16. Now this is truly throwing in the towel as a fan. Simply accepting being bad and just hoping the division somehow manages to be even worse on occasion. That's a tough row to hoe. Just face it, until we land another legit franchise QB the greatest hope we're going to have every year is going to come in late April. That's what keeps my hope alive.
  17. Yes, I want to win games. I want what Tepper promised us. Long-term success. Consistent success. Contenders year in and year out. Going to the playoffs as a losing team simply because you're in one of the worst divisions in NFL history isn't "winning".
  18. If he wants and NFL future and believes in his abilities, this is what he should do. No clue what Wake Forest's QB depth chart looks like but I'm pretty sure Sam Hartman has ran out of eligibility and that system seems like it'd be a good fit.
  19. They'll figure it out long-term. Right now it's the wild wild west out there. The kids being able to make money is a good thing. I think they'll probably bring back the sitting out a year thing for transfers and that's probably a good thing for the game. I think kids should be able to get waivers for extenuating circumstances like the coach leaving but it shouldn't be full on free agency every offseason. You can't even begin to keep up the illusion of them being "student athletes" when it's literal free agency out there and it has nothing to do with education. Unfortunately, the NCAA is a dog poo organization and should honestly probably just be burned to the ground and built back from scratch.
  20. Luke is one of the rare great players who I could see being a great coach.
  21. I'm just gonna be brutally honest here. No. I'm not. We're a bad team in a truly awful division. Winning this truly awful division doesn't change the reality that we're a bad team. Put any NFC South team in any other division and none of us are in playoff talks. None of us deserve to be. Whoever wins this awful division is just costing themselves significant draft assets and I could honestly see winning the division deluding Tepper into thinking he's got this all figured out now. It would be a significant net negative for the future of the organization. Sorry to rain on the parade.
