    I don't view the constant goal post moving buckets of excuses as reasonable. It's just plain cope at this point. We need to see more from Bryce. All we have right now is hope and we have to ignore what we're watching to cling to it.

    Frank Reich isn't the one throwing the ball. We can keep harping on Reich but we have to ignore how much better and more effective the passing game looked with Dalton to rationalize it.

    The Cam approach all over again. We have "that dude" at QB so now we can just focus completely on D. Except Bryce ain't no Cam. He's not making anything happen on his own in an NFL field.

    What's baffling is they admitted they were enamored with Bryce because of his "point guard mentality". Well, if you surround a pass first PG with a trash supporting cast on the basketball court, you're gonna have trash.

    This is what I keep going back to when folks argue that DJ Moore levels receivers are easier to find than good young pass rushers. Just look at our history. Which has been harder for us to find? We have a rich history of pass rushers. Meanwhile our history at WR is straight up trash once you get past Smitty, Moose, and Moore. Our #4 all-time WR barely produced over 2500 yards for us.

    IMO he has always looked good on the rare occasion that the Bears' OL has showed up. He doesn't handle a lot of pass rush pressure well but if they think that would improve with Caleb Williams who holds the ball for days, well...

    Exactly. When you're trading to #1 overall to draft a QB and you only have one proven legit NFL WR, that's a guy who should basically be completely off limits in terms of the trade package. You're mortgaging the future of the franchise on the development of this QB. Act like it.

    Bryce's arm is "average" meaning his arm I stronger than half the QBs in the NFL. Where are those QBs hiding because I haven't seen them.

    I was onboard with trading CMC. I still think it was a decent trade we've just squandered the assets we acquired. I was never onboard with trading our only legit NFL WR as part of the package to get our QB. In no universe did that make any logical sense whatsoever.

    Beginning? We all blamed the idiotic moves on Matt Rhule but Matt Rhule is gone now and if anything the roster moves have gotten even more idiotic.

    Yeah, I think 2-2. 3-1 if all went perfect but 2-2 is most likely. Let's not delude ourselves into thinking that Dalton is Peyton Manning or something.

    Watch other QBs. Compare. Stop grading on a curve out of cope. Who are the NFL QBs that Bryce has shown that his arm is definitely better than? To be average you need to be able to list half of the NFL's QBs. There's no way in hell you can honestly do that.
