  1. I just can't really mock other teams right now when I'm a fan of the reigning worst team in the league. Just doesn't feel right.
  2. I'm just in wait and see mode. I honestly don't think Bryce is it but we're committed to see it out for at least another year so let's just wait and see. It's pretty much all we can do as fans. The types of WRs I see Bryce needing are slot types. Basically quick guys who can win off the LOS and get open quickly. Bryce doesn't have good NFL arm talent. We have to rely on what we drafted him for - his mind. He's gotta process it fast, see it, and deliver it. He needs to be absolutely elite pre-snap. Let's see if he is a super processor because if he's not then he ain't it and we need to figure it out one way or the other moving forward.
  3. Icky projected to be the 9th worst pass blocking LT in the league? Sadly seems about right. Meanwhile, are the Jets planning on playing their punter at LT? A 9? NINE???
  4. I mean, he was a really good college QB. I'll give him that. It's just really tough to evaluate QBs when they're in one of the top programs where they could regularly beat pretty much any non-top 10 team in the country with their backups. The overall team talent disparity is just huge. But Bryce's physical talent concerns translating to the NFL were blatantly obvious IMO.
  5. We had already seen at Bama. That's when the hilarious claim that Bryce was having to carry inferior talent at ALABAMA started up.
  6. It was his biggest weakness in college too. NFL defenses just made it look even worse.
  7. I don't blame Trimble. The guy should've been playing more.
  8. He's just not a fit with Bryce. His strength is going deep. Bryce's biggest weakness is the deep ball.
  9. This. I'll believe it when the results on Sundays changes. Here's to hoping but I'm done believing.
  10. UConn is just the best team in the country by a pretty decent margin. I wonder how much UK is gonna throw at Hurley?
  11. I have no dog in this fight but UConn's coach is making me a Purdue fan for the evening. What a whiny douchebag.
  12. UConn's coach confronting Edey? If I was Purdue's coach I would've lost my poo. That screen was clean anyway.
  13. Edey is dominating but it feels like they're too reliant on him. He's gonna have to take a breather at some point and they're gonna have to find something else on the meantime.
  14. Flying knee to the dome followed by a solid scorpion. Nice.
  15. Edey is absolutely dominating. I thought Clingan would provide more resistance than this. Worthy back to back NPOY.
  16. "Falling" for him would be not going top 10. He ain't coming anywhere close to #33
  17. Hoping for a good game tonight. I do think the best two teams in the field made it to the big game which is a rarity. Kinda feels like UNC's '05 championship where they faced off against Illinois. It was very clear they were the two best teams that year and I think UConn and Purdue are pretty clearly the two best this year.
  18. He's about halfway in between. Faster than Mingo but definitely not as fast as DK.
  19. Mock drafters see his measurables, check last year's stats, and just assume he's a really good prospect. I just think he has a lot of questions marks and isn't a good fit stylistically for what Bryce needs anyway. Bummed to hear that McConkey seems highly sought after. I agree that he's the best fit for us and Bryce. I also really like Polk and he might be a lot more realistic. Starting to seem like a long shot that McConkey will be an option for us.
  20. You're not understanding what I'm saying. Those guys were already high level NBA prospects before they ever stepped foot in Lexington (or Durham). They just weren't draft eligible so they had to play a year of college ball. That year of college ball did nothing for their draft prospects. They were already considered elite prospects. They would've been drafted at pretty much the same spot straight out of HS. Let's be real, you're not doing much development in one year of college basketball. Cal didn't do poo for them. He just took advantage of a system that required those kids to play outside of the NBA for a year post-HS.
  21. Calipari hasn't been "producing" poo in terms of NBA talent. They just can't go straight to the draft out of HS so they have to stop in Lexington or Durham for a cup of coffee first.
  22. Definitely didn't see that one coming.
  23. another foul on a good block out?
  24. Feels like watching UConn. Every time you think the other team is gonna make a game of it they just step on the gas again.
  25. And that was one she would've been justified to bitch about. She was just boxing out.
